The owner is very nice and warmhearted. The only problem is however the lack of bathroom. Two dorms, almost 10 persons share one bathroom.

Amran was an excellent host and very informative about Venice. The hostel was great socially and I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

First, Amran was a great, great guy - he gave us great directions to the local sites, had good recommendations, and was overall willing to go out of his way to be helpful. He's a great host. That said, the hostel itself was not great. There was only one bathroom for the whole upstairs, so there were numerous occasions where we had to wait for upwards of 20 minutes for people to finish showering. There was a small kitchen, but that was it for shared spaces.

Very simple Hostel (kitchen but no breakfast, no lockers and no place to chill inside the hostel, except the dorm), but clean, confortable and nice location (near the piazza san marco, even though a little far from the train station!). Most important, we had a very nice host, Amran, who is a very friendly and fun guy: the night we ate at the hostel he even invited us and payed for the pasta and pesto! plus greated us with a tasty local wine. The terrace is very charming too!

A great place to stay. They hostel is easy to find if you follow the directions. I was guen a map and a route to your Venice as well as places to eat. Linen supplied and a couple if other guests asked for towels and git those too. Only downside was the wifi not working as he was changing plans over. I would defenently recommend this place!!

Ca' Venezia is an excellent choice for your stay in Venice! Amran is an excellent host, as he is very friendly, very knowledgable about the city (all his recommendations proved to be true, be them about food or what to see, etc.), and very willing to accomodate you in any way that you need. If you are insistent on having wifi, I would check with him before booking or arriving as to whether or not it will be working during your stay. Otherwise, this is a great choice and excellently located!

Aman (our hostel host) is an amazing person! He's the most hospitable person I've had in Europe yet. We arrived at 11pm and were lost, called him, and without us even asking he offered to meet us at our location to take us to the hostel. He then offered us pasta and sauce for dinner because nothing was open. Then during our stay we ran into him at different times and he helped us every time. Overall he has the best hostel in Venice and has an awesome location, 10 minutes from the main sites!

It's a bed in Venice, not too much else to ask for. No wi-fi when I was there, and about 2 minutes after arriving the power went out, I dont know how long for as I just left to wander the streets. Amran is very nice, very personable and helpful but this isn't the hostel to go to if you want to have a place to chill out, which you shouldn't be doing in Venice anyway. Reasonably easy to find, very close to San Marco square and take his pizza place recommendation, it was good.

Hostelworld must add what accommodations were booked to the confirmation sheet. I booked 4 bed apartment but I booked 6 bed apartment. Could not prove otherwise. Placed in 6 bed apartment, at 2 am 6 bed became 7 bed. Complaining was told that the next day given the 4 bed apartment as if this was special. Told also that 7th person got into apartment by mistake. Through the locked door supposedly. I dislike being lied to. The cots are not twin thus to small for my large built son. No Wifi as ad.

It was really nice staying in ca'venezia. Only be careful when you are choosing your room if you care about privacy. If you choose family room its for 4 or 6 ppl which is not indicated. Other thn that everything was great. Amran the owner helped us very much. He gave us a map and showed us the major places that everyone must see.

At the very top, the view is superb (bell tower!). No secure lockers, unfortunately. There is a kitchen, one bathroom to share (hot water was never an issue), TV, and wifi (only if you're sitting inside the office - outside does not really work). Towels available are hand-towel-sized.Amran, while he seems very knowledgable of the city, is like THAT uncle: a bit too friendly, especially if you don't like your personal bubble invaded. Decent place to stay, and easy to find if you follow their map!

Amran is the best: he gave us a map and explained where to go and what to see, gave us the address of a restaurant (though it was closed that day).Thx Never seen an hostel that clean: room, bathroom, "living-room" and kitchen. Nice view from the room: some churches, a garden. Single beds, not bunk beds. Shower is quite big, you don't touch the walls. No atmosphere as no real common room. No lockers (that would be a good improvement). Close to Saint Mark Square. We would definitely go back there

The owner is a really nice guy, but it's not your typical hostel. Not really any kind of social environment. The rooms are more like hotel rooms with extra beds (mine had it's own kitchen, tv, and bathroom) which leads to very little contact with other travelers. Not cool if you're traveling alone. Cash only.

It was a fairly bare bones experience, but it was a good value. Levanto is a beautiful little town with an excellent beach. There doesn't seem to be much atmosphere in the hostel due to the dim lighting in the common rooms and it would have been nice to have a larger area with wifi access.

I find that a common room integrated with reception is not a good idea, as it impedes both reception and the guests. On the 4th floor, there is only one bathroom, which is clearly insufficient, given 15 beds now and an additional room under renovation, which will further worsen the crunch.
