Location is great! Kitchen is tiny and poorly stocked, but functional. The WiFi is awful and hardly ever works, so if you need to use that a lot, be warned. Staff are pretty friendly, but they tended to throw out my stuff if it was on the floor (or looked like garbage?) - soap container, razor, bottle of olive oil, etc. Make sure you keep your stuff organised so that doesn't happen. Otherwise the apartment-style set up is great and homey and the roof terrace was a real treat.

Overall enjoyed our stay there. The location can be a little hard to find but that's normal for Venice. It is, however, very close to San Marcos. The staff were helpful with places of interest and how to get where. One minor gripe is that the wi-fi only works in the common area. Price was very reasonable especially by Venice's standards. All in all, pretty good!

Really liked this hostel despite its flaws the roof terrace provides a great view of the city, particularly at night after the football with a few bottles of wine & beer. Only two downsides were WiFi rarely let us connect if at all & secondly the bathroom was not entirely... you could tell it had been wiped down but the shower had mold stuck in various grooves and seals which was quite off putting although it was given a proper clean while we were there. No idea how regularly. Shiny now tho :)

It was a very good place to stay, quiet and peaceful. The staff was very friendly especially Amran. The room was comfortable, clean and very nice. I will definitely stay here if I have a chance to visit Venice again.

This hostel had a really cool roof. The bathroom was really dirty and shared by over 12 people. It is a little far from all of the action but then again you don't need more than one day in venice.

The hostel was fine. What I liled most was that it was close to St Mark's Square.

I always wondered who this 'Amran' person was and why everybody was in love with him. But Amran Bhai, you really are the best. You made the hostel feel like home. And that Dal and roti you gave me? Wah! One has to stay in Ca Venezia for Amran. And meet his turtle!! The location too. Yes, that's convenient as well, haha.

No breakfast included and the area is expensive. There are better options in Venezia. The place is nice though, and gives you independence. No credit card accepted :(

I had a nice stay, although I didn't stay much at the hostel. Basically, I just went back there to sleep ! The room and bed were nice, we had a working (but leaking) air-conditionning which was great considering the heat. Location is good, far from the station, but near the city center (Piazza San Marco, etc), so it was quite easy to go back to the hostel even late at night. The personnel was very kind and helpful. Commodities were basic but sufficient. All in all I was very happy with my stay!

It was extremely hot the night I spent in Venice and they only had 1 fan set up in the room, which only reached the bottom bunks. And they gave us each duvets! They only have AC in the reception for themselves (the staff). There's only one washroom for everyone upstairs to share. The kitchen is very small. Other than a room, washroom, and small kitchen, there is nothing else at the hostel. No other facilities. The only thing I can say is the staff is friendly and nice, and the location is great.

This is a typical Venetian hostel in the sense that it isn't purpose built or anything like that, in fact its much closer to an unconverted apartment block. The atmosphere is quite relaxed, and there are minor cooking/fridge facilities and an incredible rooftop terrace. No air-conditioning it should be mentioned, but otherwise a great place to stay with a good location about 10 minutes from St. Mark's and close to the Arsenale Vaporetto stop. A bit tricky to find it, but its ok.

If there would be less beds - and no bunk beds - in the room on the 4th floor room, it would have been even better. It was a bit crowded and by lack of a 'lounge room' the only place to sit was on the terrace - which had a fenominal view. But still, when the terrace closes after 10pm, there's nowhere to go except outside, or to bed. Further, bunk beds are only acceptable at a low price, so therefore I found this hostel relatively expensive. Just one bathroom was not enough.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Location is very good. Facilities are barely average and there is absolutely no common place where you could meet some of the other guests.

The facilities are over used and uncared for. One bathroom for many people is not ok. The toilet was clogged for an afternoon, the kitchen not routinely cleaned, the walls unfinished and thin. The odor was rancid. Please hire a full or daily part time individual to devote their lives to cleaning this facility. I will highly unrecommend this place to future individuals. This was a disappointingly expensive experience.

Horrible Hostel! Although nicely located, the staff is very unfriendly, no common area in the facilities, terrace closed at 23:00, so after that time, you had nothing more to do in the hostel, in a city with no nightlife. Ridiculous atmosphere, only old people in our room, nothing against that, but it's definitely not what I expect from a hostel. If you're travelling alone, stay away.

Although the hostel location was pretty good, as well as the beds, we were assigned a very small room for 5 people with very little ventilation. Staff was ok but they could have been more helpful. Also, the electricity plugs were not enough in the room for all of us.

Hostel was fine, met cool people and the owner was very nice. Kitchen table and area to hang out in in apartment-style room was convenient. No lockers though, and locks on doors to rooms didn't really work

I don't know how this place got such poor reviews. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are really nice, and the view from the roof is awesome. We had a group of 5 and had one upstairs room to ourselves. Had a nice kitchen and bathroom. I'd recommend it.
