Will be good if the property n facilities are maintained regularly and to ensure it is free of cockroaches n mosquitoes to get best of abilities
The hostel was great bedrooms and bathrooms were all very clean. The location is really central (though the directions fon Hostelworld are confusing - go to a maps app and print off your own before you go) and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. There are some kitchen facilities. The only thing was the rooms got really hot at night and the protable air con unit in our room wasn't uber-efficient and our dorm room didn't have a lock. The owner is very helpful if any problems/questions arise
This was my first hostel experience but i was pleantly surprised. Our reception was a little less than friendly but the location was good, relativaly easy to find and super clean. I was a little disappointed to wake up to a man in our bunk room after booking an all female room but it didnt cause any problems. The owners son was very helpful in giving advice about what to do in our short time in Venice and we all appreiated it. Great place for a night or two in Venice.

I can not complement this hostel enough...it was really comfortable and clean! The best thing about it was the guy who in charge who was so friendly, kind and absolutely hilarious! He was lovely to chat to and really helpful when we were deciding what to do in Venice

We had a fantastic stay in Venice, which was great as it was our first stop on our tour of Italy. Amran was soo friendly and helpful with the local hotspots and how to get around Venice ok. We were a group of four young girls but not once did we feel at all unsafe and we had no problem leaving our valuables around, additionally, after check out we were able to continue our time in Venice without having to lug around our cases as we could leave them there in the day. I would highly recommend it!
My time in this "hostel" was terrible. The man who owned this place was a creep. He made inappropriate moves on me, which made me frightened and uncomfortable. The room itself was unsanitary, the bed sheets were never changed and I knew this because the bed just below the light was covered in dead mosquitoes that must have been piling up for the whole summer. The whole place smelled of moth balls. There wasn't any security - no lockers no door to the room. I would NOT recommend this place.
Theres an AWESOME rooftop terrace at this place. Perfect for getting some sun, drinking and hanging out with the other travelers. Good location and the guy running the place was very friendly. I would come here again.
Great location, close to San Marco square but tucked away in a quieter alley. Nice staff, decent facilities for the money
Overall I had a very positive experience of this hostel. It is a lovely building, the roof terrace was a really good place for socialising and had incredible views over Venice. The room was clean, lockers were available, the bathroom was large and pleasant and the kitchen was really handy. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The only downsides were that the air con in the room didn't work so it was unbearably hot and it was the opposite side of the city to the train station.
I don't normally leave reviews but this hostel was really great. The guy who runs it is so helpful and friendly, giving me walking routes and directions to places. The roof terrace is lovely, the rooms are exceptionally clean and it's worth the price, especially in a place like Venice.
Friendly and very helpfull, shower doors/walls could be cleaned better.
We had a wonderful visit. If I am back in Venice, I am likely to stay there again.

It was the perfect place to stay: was very close to St. Marco square yet quiet at night. Amran, the hostel keeper, is very friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a smile, and going above and beyond in service. The hostel is clean and secure, with big windows, and the room where I stayed had a big bathroom and kitchen. Does have quite a few stairs, but I got help with my luggage. My only advice would be to make the directions on the website more clear from the waterbus for less bridges
Great location and a great roof top terrace with views over the city !
Great great great location! In the middle of everything! I met tons of amazing people. No locks or lockers for valuables, but I never felt like my things were at risk. Gorgeous rooftop patio with stunning view! Only thing is the owner is a little friendlier than necessary to young women, but it only made me a little uncomfortable, I never felt actually afraid or unsafe.
Amran really is as awesome as the other reviewers say! So helpful with all my questions
This is a great place to stay in Venice! The rooms have kitchens stocked with the essentials, the location is great, Ahmran was wonderful, very helpful, and full of suggestions. I would definitely stay here again.
Amren is the best host really goes out of his way
