From here you can easily reach the most famous and important monuments of the city: San Marco Square and its basilica, Palazzo Ducale and the Bridge of Sighs, the splendid Church of San Zaccaria, Rialto Bridge, its market and the nightlife. To enjoy the beauty of these places without the crowds you can reach them early in the morning or evening.

B&B was easy to find but despite our deposit there were no rooms available for us. Manager took us to an apartment of an out of town friend which was much further away from any attractions. The apartment was spacious with a private bathroom, but was very dirty, damp, and there was no breakfast. Our main disappointment was that we simply didn't get to go to the B&B we paid for and were instead placed in a residential district with a damp bed.
