We got to the apartment and had to wait an hour for someone to show up and give us the keys. A girl showed up, who didn't speak any english, and gave us no information at all about the apartment. The internet went in and out. We had no idea when checkout was. The shower is next to the toilet, and the bathroom was flooded with water when we arrived. All in all, this place is okay because of it's location, but the service is terrible.

Very comfortable, charming hostel with a lovely view from practically each and every window. Laura, the owner, came to meet us near San Marco's square rather than make us search far and wide for the hostel, which is a little hidden, but ultimately VERY well-located. The hostel was clean, with one rather smelly toilet, but we kept have issues with hot water and electricity during our stay. Laura, however, was very accomodating and tried her best to rectify the problems. Recommended hostel.

We showed up to the address we thought we had booked to find out we were actually at a different location. A girl who could not speak any english took us on a 25 to 30 min journey across Venice to the other location. We were very confused as we could not communicate with her at all. We ended up getting our own apartment with a kitchen and bathroom. The apartment was better than what we expected however, there were no staff available and no secuirty. Make sure to email and confirm location!

The blankets and pillows didn't have covers and some smelled like smoke. The place was generally very unclean. The shower head was broken and the bathroom was dirty. The apartment was very cold for the first few days, as the heat had been off. Don't expect much but if it was clean, it would be a good place. Don't expect it to be clean.

pros: -perfect location (2-3 mins walk to San Marco) -kitchen available -the atmosphere was really good -clean -secure enough cons: -not enough water pressure -electricity switch turns off when additional heater or the oven in the kitchen is on I would definitely recommend this hostel to my friends who want to visit Venice. Despite of the water and electricity issues, this is the best hostel I've ever been in.
