We stayed for 5 days in a 4 bed dorm. The location was great, breakfast was good and available for 3 hours of the morning. Perfect for meeting younger travellers and for those on a tight budget. Would stay again!

Place in itself is really nice, awesome house. Two major problems though: Shared bathroom is not cleat AT ALL, and bar stops selling beer at 10 pm, that is close to unnacceptable in Brazil, but i believe that is a neighborhood, once the hostel is located at a really nice residential area!

The staff is very unfriendly and they do not show interest in helping you out with your inquiries (excepting the american and brazilian girls and the security man that was who finally helped us). The only thing they care about is MONEY, they will not let you have a look at the room you are suposed to stay before paying for your full reservation. Our room was run out of toilet paper for 1 and a half day, even though we told the front desk and asked to refill it. Housekeeping's girls are nice.

The hostel was a good deal (when it wasn't weekend rates) and has a fun atmosphere. If you like to party, they've got the hookup. The location is great, it's a short walk to Copacabana beach and near all the major bus lines as well as the Metro station. The hostel itself is basic but covers what you need. With the staff, its a toss up as to whether they will be in an accommodating mood or not on any given day.

In felt there could have been some organised activities at night time to encourage people to mix and maybe go out into town together.

The atmosphere, the friends, the location is quite satisfactory but i cant say the same for cleanliness. Even though the common area was quite good, the beds were no close to being clean (mixed 4 beds dorm)

Staff was nice. Not a big fan of the hostel. Matrasses were unconfortable. Didnt got that much sleep. Its more a party hostel. I missed the comfortable area to hang out.

I did like my stay here very much, I found it a great base point to get to all the attractions. It was great to only be about 10 minutes walk from the beach. It is located very close to bus stops and the metro. I mett many other travers here and had a great time.

A little out of the way but was a trustworthy hostel. A few blocks from the beach. Stayed here twice...I don't recommend the double rooms but the dorms were nice with pretty clean bathrooms.

Nice bar and a very nice TV place to hang out with people. The bar is good and not so expensive. My locker was a little bit broken and the bathrooms were not super clean. The location is pretty good and very close to the beach. A lot of nice people here.

Staff are unfriendly and seem pissed off whenever you enquire for something or ask for a beer. Also I didn´t have bed sheets for most of my stay for some reason.

Hi! Sorry for the impression you had, but our staff was really busy when you arrived. We did not know you had no sheets, but you could had asked for some and we would have given it to you immediately! Safe travels! CabanaCopa staff

The hostel was definitely a good place to meet young travelers, and in a perfect location. Other than a staff member named Leandro, the rest of the staff was not overly friendly or would not go out of their way to help. The place nickel and dimed for locks, towels, and DOESN'T let you use your Credit Card if under R$150 - a good thing to know before hand to know how much cash to bring. Breakfast isn't fantastic, but it does the job. Not 100%, but a good hostel nonetheless.

Water leaking in the bathroom. A bit too many people for the space available.
