The location isn't convenient. You have to go up a steep hill to get to the hostel and before that you'll have to walk through a dark alley. The staff is nice, but doesn't speak that good English. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms too, except the showerdoors won't close, because there is no lock.

I liked the Hostal. It was a great location, only 2 blcoks away from Copacabana beach. Although it was up a very steep hill which wasn't so good when I was carrying my backpack. The area was residential so felt safe and was quiet at night. I liked having the Park out the back of the Hostal and it was great having monkeys come to the trees at the TV area.

The showers were really good and so was the bedroom. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was decent. The only problem was the huge hill you need to climb to get to the hostel but putting that aside I had a great stay.

this hostel is ok, but a few dissapointments ; cost you 20R to use the machine and drying machine, the staff is more or less likely to help you with information ; bus and ferry schedule, for exemple. internet wifi was not working for a long time. on the other hand, the dorms were clean, so were the bathrooms and showers. Breakfast was ok. they offer a really interesting favela tour, which is more like a social experiment than i touristic trip.

It's the front desk staff & lounge area that make this place great. Staff are so helpful (the girls). Lounge are is great for chilling out in after a hard night out in Lapa! Very close to beach.

Breakfast is good, not only free but also an opportunity to meet people. WIFI has to be better and change the settings remove history after 24h. They have alot of activities, but maybe in groups for example going to sugar loaf or christ statue.

Biggest bedbugs I've ever seen literaly crawlng over the couches. Bar prices are higher than some local bars, for a hostel this is rediculous.

Nice staff - very friendly and helpful with everything - and a good atmosphere and shared facilities. The rooms and beds were pretty basic and small, and the bathrooms needed better cleaning. It was in a good location just up from the beach. Overall pretty good.

Me and my boyfriend had a great time. The staff helped with information on bus and taxi and parties. It has an excellent space for happy hour. The only female room has a good space with mirror and a table. The localization is the best, safe, really close to the metro and a few block to Copacabana beach. My only suggestion is to use one better cachaça in caipirinha as Sagatiba, we have excellent cachaça in Brazil and I think that the 51 did not represent the quality of our drinking.

First of all I want to clarify that your services set out in the HostelWorld site includes "Reception 24 hours". We had to checkout at 4am and only had security people who had no access to the return of the money deposit for the key of the room. Instead of proposing a solution they insisted that I ought to have notified the checkout time previously when no one asked us during checkin the time of departure from the hostel. It would have been really easy offer me a refund on the credit card.

This is a nice hostel in Rio. Everything was good, I had no problems there and the staff and guests were very friendly. The localization is almost perfect, very near of underground and many bus line to everywhere around. Definitly I recommend this hostel.

actually the hang gliding tour changed my ideas that were positive about the hostel especiaaly since it put me into the danger with not cancelling it while no one else was flying.after just landing the pilot said that he wants to land. the pilot was trying to sell me another flight in better weather and also the video of the flight when he was just shouting and there was a turbulance and that took only 2 minutes instead of 10 to 15 min. the second thing was that the people in reception simply f

All round a pretty good hostel, though drinks prices were no better than bars down the road which is a shame for a hostel. Would recommend.
