Great little place, stayed there for 2 seperate nights they stored our luggage for free when we visited the Canyon del Colca, and booked the tour for us. Evelyn was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable on Arequipa. Only downside: zero to no hot water for showers, but other than that loved it! Please note, definitely not a party hostel, but comfortable and friendly.

We arrived at Cabanitas very early and Evelyn was soooo nice to us. We could not check in immediately but she let us stay in the living room, using the wifi and watching TV. Afterwards she did everything to get our room ready. The stay was great and we felt very good there. We wish Evelyn and her husband the best of luck !! This place is perfect for couples or people that do not like the typical hostels like Flying Dog etc. It was amazing! Thank you for everything.

Cabanita's House was fantastic! Definitely the best value of any hostel I've been in. Evelyn was extremely warm, friendly, and helpful. It's a small quiet place with super clean facilities and modern bathroom -- we were the only ones staying there and they must have cleaned the bathrooms at least 3x a day. It's not right in the center but it is still close enough to walk and wasn't a hassle for us, in fact a nice walk after a big meal. Highly recommend it!

Great hostel. Nice big room with comfy beds. Spotless new bathrooms with nice powerful showers. Met some lovely people here. Staff go out of their way to help. Very quiet at night. Only 10/15 minute walk to the centre. Free computer to use and free wi-fi. Use of the family kitchen. Would definitely recommend.

We had an absolutely lovely stay. Very clean bathrooms - easily the best we have had on our trip! It really isnt far from the plaza....other hostels such as Home Sweet Home are almost exactly the same distance. You can leave you luggage securely when you go on the colca canyon tour trip too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Evelyn is great! The rooms are very clean. The breakfast needs improvement though and the basic double room is tiny with no place to hang your stuff.

Good: staff helped us book Colca Canyon tour which was good. New bathrooms. Bad: no atmostphere or character. Quite far from center. Hard to find initially.

Cabanita´s House was a great hostel to relax at and a good base to explore Arequipa from. It is just south of a beautiful park and a bit north of the city center. The staff of the hostel were very nice and were looking for any suggestions on how they can improve this relatively new hostel. Additionally the kitchen although relatively simple worked great (i.e. decent pans).

A beautiful, quiet, homey and sparkling clean place. Unusual for Peru, you can also use the kitchen. Everything is very new and there's every service you could wish for. It's not right in the center but an easy 10-15 minute walk, perfect if you don't want to stay in the touristy core of Arequipa. What really makes the place is Evelyn, who is a truly inspiring young woman who works very hard to take care of her guests and family. I'll be back!

This is a fabulous guesthouse. Evelyn and her sister are fabulous hosts, always willing to help in any way possible. We booked the colca canyon with them and it was fabulous, they also kindly looked after our bags whilst we were gone and even let us use the facilities including showers when we returned before getting our overnight bus. Sure it's a 15 minute walk to the main square but it's easy and there are also restaurants nearby and Evelyn is happy to make recommendations. Great place to stay

I love this hostel! I want to move in! The staff is suuuuuper friendly. We left our bags there for four nights with no questions asked or extra charges and they kept them safe. The rooms are clean and the showers are HOT (and solar powered, which is totally awesome). Stay here!

This place is perfect for those who are tired of traveling and need a place to RELAX. You don't hear the sound of cars or people partying in the street, and the objective of the hostel is to ensure that the travelers are able to sleep tranquilly anytime during the day and night. The house is new and beautiful. Don't be alarmed by the apparent distance from the city center: it's only a 15 to 20 minute walk past the old buildings. Note: Don't believe the taxi drivers - the place does exist!

Eva is the best hostel owner in the world...extremely nice and genuinely cares about your well being. The place is in a beautiful area close to parks with lamas and just a ten minute walk to the center through the beautiful cobble stoned streets of Arequipa. Really comfortable beds, nice and clean bathrooms and great common room. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a place to rest your head, get some excellent advice from the owner and know that you are being looked after. 10/10:)
