It's a nice chill-out place about 2 km. from Cahuita town and the big beach. But you can borrow bikes from the sweet couple who owns the place, who also offered us rides to the town. Their restaurant is also nice, but maybe a little above average in price. Ideal place if it's about relaxation. A bit far away from town but they make up for it through hospitality and the quality of their cabinas. Cabina's Algebra was by far the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. The Couple that own it are extremely nice and friendly. They have 3 dogs that are so sweet they stayed outside our cabin every night like they were guarding us. The food they serve is extremely good and reasonably priced as well. Also, the free rides to the bus station and town are excellent as well. The rooms are nice and clean, if you're taking a stop in Cahuita definitely stay at Cabinas Algebra you will love it!!Cabina's Algebra was by far the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. a nice place to stay....power kept going out because of hot water use....had to trip fuse box during each (3) of our showers....much further than 500M off main road so incredibly frustrating to find, however, as far as accomodations go it was a really cool place, cute, awesome dogs, not too bad a location aside from the rough road coming in. didn't really use is for much more than a bed and a shower so an accurate description from me might not be available. We had an amazing stay at Cabinas Algebra in Cahuita! This little beach town was the most lovely and relaxed place i've ever been to. Alfred and Andrea were friendly & helpful... so helpful that they gave us frequent rides back and fourth from downtown Cahuita. Great place to take a breather from the hustle of San Jose or dirt of Cahuita. A bit on the remote side, but clean and quiet. The cabins are a bit stuffy when the weather is hot, but the fan helps and there is hot water. The owners are quite helpful and pleasant to chat with. All in all, a hidden jewel.
