We had a great stay at Cabinas Eddy. It is very conveniently situated for the centre of Santa Elena. The staff were excellent and the hostel is very clean and well maintained. Probably the best thing about Eddy's was the breakfast (which is included in the price) and consisted of fresh juice, tea and coffee, fresh fruit and then a wide choice of breakfast "mains", such as omelette, eggs, banana pancakes, breakfast wraps and more. Definitely the best breakfast we had in Costa Rica.

Loved our stay at Eddys! Room was spacious and very clean but the bed was a little uncomfortable. Breakfast was amazing, tried a few of the options and they were all fab. Free tea and coffee in the afternoon is a nice touch. Eddy was so helpful when booking tours and arranging transport, he made everything easy for us and we managed to fit lots into a few days. Would most definitely recommend!!

Freddy was helpful from the beginning, in helping me with the luggage, to their map showing where everything is and prices on 1 sheet. He also offered discounts on some of the activities. The breakfast was good, the location very convenient to restaurants. Our room was spacious and clean. The only thing I didn't like as much was parking next door, where we have to move the car every morning and night so that the gate could be opened or closed for the day or night. However having pkg is good

A well-located pleasant clean place, but no hot water when we stayed. Freddy is a pleasure to deal with.

We loved this place and Freddie was incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were hearty and good. The room was clean and felt secure. It's right next to a bus stop to easily get around and within a few minutes walk to the center of town.

Wow! I've traveled all over Costa Rica and this place was by far the best. Freddy, the frontman was phenomenal. He knew the best places, gave us great discounts on activities and he is on top of it all. He works hard and makes sure you have a pleasant stay. We stayed three nights and everything was wonderful. Eat the banana pancakes and coconut syrup for breakfast. It's included and delicious! Just beware of a chilly shower!

It's a great place to stay. The rooms are comfy and clean, WiFi good, breakfast excellent and it's quiet. The owner, Freddy is awesome, he's dead chilled out, really helpful and genuinely cares about his customers. Go to him for info and bookings of tours, he knows his stuff!

Freddy is one of the greatest hosts we've ever stayed with, extremely friendly, helfpul and sincere! The hostel is nice and the breakfast (included!) is simply the best: you can choose between an omelette, sandwiches and pancakes (and I'm probably forgetting some options). All are freshly prepared by Freddy and brought to your table! He also helped us out with good value tours and even assisted us in calling the Chirippo ranger station for us (far away). Best option in Monteverde!

Cabinas Eddy is a great little family-run hotel. The manager Freddy and his wife are so kind and runs it perfect. They give their guest the best service. Freddy drove us to the bus stop because it was raining. The rooms are so clean and the breakfast the best. If you go to Monteverde you have to stay here. Location is also great and you can ask Freddy about day-tours and how you go with a public bus from Monteverde to San Jose or Arenal. Best place to stay in Monteverde. Thanks! David and Haben
