There is only one hot-water tap in the onsen bath which is not enough when more than one guest are in there.

Staff were friendly and fantastic. Accom was basic. . Bathrooms are run down, infact the whole place is run down. Onsite onsen is a bonus, noone was really using it, which i guess is another bonus. Close walking distance to other Onsen. 7/11 is a 5 minute walk from hostel, as are restaurants. Though i felt the nightlife around the main drag was a bit suss, be careful. Guides re transportation/walking distance to local businesses are placed up on the hostel walls and are incredibly helpful

Really loved this place and the staff! Really appreciated the stay here. You really cant complain when there is an onsen IN the hostel. Only thing that was a bit off was the toilets. Otherwise; great place.

Everything was good, nothing to complain about. 10 minutes walk to the station, own hot bath, spacious kitchen, manga library. Nothing too luxurious, but everything good.

The shower room on the second floor needs a little updating and some extra cleaning.

Toilets have seen better days. in need of some TLC.

Overall the place was safe, clean, friendly, conveniently located. Only negative part is there is only one shower place for both men and woman unless you shower on the onsen.

Nice hostel with a good atmosphere. Not enough showers and toilets for a full hostel. It has an Onsen inside but so does everywhere in Beppu. Lots of useful info available for guests with regards to things to do and places to eat. A bit dirty in places though, but super cheap so cant complain.

The location of the hostel is very good. Staff are very knowledgable about tourist information. Free onsen is a plus :)

The hostel has certainly seen better times. It looks run down. Also, no laundry facilities. The staff were fantastic though!

Best place to stay in Beppu. The staff was all extremely friendly and even provided some medicines for when my travel partner got a little sick. Their location is off the main roads, but once you're on the right road, the sign is easy to find. The private rooms for a hostel were well kept and smartly organized to maximize space. If I return to Beppu, I will stay here. They even have their own onsen (hot spring) in the hostel.

The hostel itself was very clean, although the building itself seemed rather old. This includes the facilities that all had a somewhat old touch to them. The room was clean but rather small (we've had bigger rooms in Tokyo). The staff was very helpful and has great recommendations for food.

This place definitely needs some renovation. It is the least cleanest hostel we’ve had in Japan, everything’s worn out. In the room, there was absolutely no privacy as basically, you just have 6 futons in an empty room. What is annoying: Wifi did not work in the room (4th floor) and there was only one shower (!) for the whole place. The common areas are pretty alright, though, staff were really friendly. The location is good, everything you need is in short distance. We can recommend the little
