It's a really nice hostel, in teh center town, 5 minutes walk from the central square and 1 minute from the river. A bar downstairs gives a good atmosphere at night. Great kitchen and friendly staff.

This is a very nice youth hostel. Just go there to meet some people and enjoy the town.

I had mixed feelings about this hostel. On a positive note, the owner was very helpful and the free breakfast was excellent. The dorm room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, a good size locker for your valuables and the bathroom was fine. However, the rooms were above a pub and the smell of everyone smoking drifted up the stairs. There was no lounge area upstairs where you could sit and chat with others. Also, there was no lock to prevent pub patrons from coming upstairs.

Quite basic hostel in terms of room(s) / equipment. Actually location is good and staff quite friendly. The caffe downstairs is an opportunity for testing local life and no noise is heard upstairs where the rooms are. In my opinion it was a bit overpriced but this might be linked with the low number of offers for accomodation in Ceske Budejovice downtown... Worth to visit the "meat shop" beer place for dinner just around the corner!
