Rather good hotel for its price. The room is small, but it's quite common for Paris. The shower is in the room, internet is free, supermarket is outside as well as mcdolalds. So, its reall good choice for 1-2 nights in Paris

We loved our stay here. Felt very safe. We actually liked that it wasn't in the heart of the city. It was nice to get away but the metro is literally outside so getting anywhere was easy. The area has some really inexpensive good food as well. Make sure you have it marked off on a map though because our cab driver got lost driving us home, which wasn't fun. Stay here though! The staff were very accommodating

We loved our stay here! We wanted to stay one more night but because Rihanna was coming to town the hotel was fully booked out. Thanks Rihanna for ruining our trip

The Cafe Hotel de l'avenir is a nice little hotel with very friendly staff. The double room we had was small but sufficient. The only drawback was the one central toilet for all guests, which in addition did not provide a basin for hand washing (rather common in France, I'm afraid). Apart from this, we had an excellent stay there, as the rooms were well isolated from the noise of the bar and surprisingly quiet.

They lost our reservation, waited a half hour while they figured out what to do. Then they gave us an "upgraded" room which was on the first floor, right next to the entrance and the trash room, there were loud noises all night, and we couldn't open the window without smoke coming in from the outside. The staff wasn't helpful, they didn't speak much English and didn't have any maps of Paris or any other supporting information. I will not return to this location any time soon.

Great budget hotel, modern and clean finishings, right next to metro. Breakfast at cafe in morning was a good local Parisian experience.

This place was an amazing stay. I can't recommand it enough. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, and although the toilets are common for the floor, shower and sink are available in every room as well as a TV and WiFi access. One of the greatest part is the Café downstairs, which serves very affordable and delicious meals (apetizer, main course and desert for 12Euros). The short subway ride from this place to downtown is highly worth it.

When booking, we confused this hotel with Hotel de l'Avenir near Jardin du Luxembourg. This hotel is located right next to the Garibaldi metro, about 25 minutes from the city centre in zone 2 with supermarkets, bakeries, cheap eateries nearby. The toilet in the corridor was clean and there was never a queue. You'd better be comfortable with the person you're staying with as the shower (ensuite) door is see-through. The hotel was nothing special, it was fairly good value for the money.

I wanna stay there again if I visit Paris again

The hostel is located quite far north. It's across the street from a metro, but is about nine stops from Champs-Elysees. As others have mentioned, the toilet is down the hall. It's nice to have the sink and shower in the room, but only because we're a married couple. Since the bathroom has no door, it would be awkward if you were traveling with a friend. Good place for the money, though.

Facilities seem new, very clean, loved that there were no keys but instead a pin pad where you entered a pin to get in the door of your room. It is a bit out of the way from everything, but there is a metro stop around the corner and this hotel is cheaper because of the location. There are also a good amount of affordable places to eat down the street, which is great in a pricy city like Paris! The free welcome drink was also appreciated!

Nice place, very clean and friendly staff. Although they had difficulty finding our booking which we'd made 4 months in advance and had to change rooms after one night. At least this wasn't a hassle as the staff moved our bags during the day while we were out. We had a shower in our room but not a toilet.

The hostel was really clean and great-- the room was huge and reasonably clean with even an ensuite shower. The location was excellent as well; literally just in front of the train station with cheapfood (compared to the city centre) nearby. All in all a great place to stay.

Lovely place! Great location and rooms and at a great price!!

It was a good value, clean and comfortable hostel. The staff were friendly and the cafe/bar downstairs was quite lively which was good. Although it advertises itself as being in a central location, the hostel was a bit out of the way, but it was located next door to a metro station and on the same metro line as champs Elysée. The only downside to this hostel was not having a toilet in the room, and not having a door to separate the shower from the bedroom. Overall we had a really nice stay.

Great staff and lovely affordable restaurant that completes everything. Definitely recommend it to anyone. Only 5 stops with metro which is one second away.

Clean and new, but the music was playing in the bar until I went down for my morning coffee. I was the only woman around for miles, and felt a bit unsafe. The cafe was still filled with people from the night before strung out looking like they were waiting for someone or something at 8 am. I got an overall strange feeling from the place, and would not recommend it for single women travellers.

very nice place to stay, friendly employees and a great price! the hostel seemed to be renewed lately. slightly negative point: no wc in the hotel room, but on the floor. not that problem for us, because they were cleaned daily. you will definitely need a metro ticket for your trip, it takes about 30 minutes downtown with it, but the metro station ist only a few meters from the hostel, which is a great plus
