Good hostel. Moderate price. Top location

We liked staying at Cafofo Hostel. The staff is very nice and helpful and the location is perfect. It's close to the main tourist spots as Corcovado and Pao Acucar. You just take the bus. The beaches at Copacabana or Ipanema can easily reached by metro. The only thing that could be improved is the cleaniness of the bathrooms. It would be good, if they will be cleaned several times during theday.

Cheap for WC. Nice hostel, no issues

I stayed here during World Cup and it was awesome! The place is in a great place close to a metro and there's a couple of cool places nearby. The common room was great to watch the games in. The staff was really helpful with suggestions of what to do and where to go. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful staff, made you feel welcome from the moment you walked through the door. More than happy to point you in the right direction for anything you wanted to see or do. The facilities were up to par and had no issues whatsoever. Being there during the World Cup made the place incredibly enjoyable too.

So hot, for the amount being paid there should be air conditioning in every room. Still far too hot with window open and also causes many mosquitoes to enter the room.

Dear Guest, Thanks for your comments! You should have been so excited about the World Cup you didn´t realize the air conditioning right above your head in the room. All of them have aircon. Regarding the mosquitos, we are a tropical country, warm and humid, they are going to be around wherever you go ;)

The Hostel is nice and the price is not so bad (one of the cheapest in Rio, whereas still quite expensive). The location is really handy because is close to a Subway station, but there are not much options near by the hostel so you will have to take the Subway anyway.

One of the staff speaks minimal English and can be a bit abrupt. Otherwise, this is an OK place to stay in a relatively safe neighbourhood.

The hostel is very simple but good enough. It has big rooms with enough space for the guests. The location is very good. Near to the metro station Flamengo. From there you are very central to all the places worth visiting.
