Please don't fall for the gimmicks. Free breakfast is weetabix, sometimes there is bread and a toaster, sometimes you'll be lucky and there will even be butter to put on it. There were never any mugs. Free dinner was measly, everyone had to go out and get a takeaway after. They may as well not bother. Yes it's very cheap if that's what you are after. Room door was never locked, covered in cobwebs, blinds in bathroom window broken so anyone could see in. Not recommended. No good communal areas.

Owner Comment (Show)
thanks for taking time to give us some feedback, we are sorry you didn't enjoy parts of your stay. just an update for you we have bought new mugs yipee, there are now plenty. the free breakfast is for 2 hours every morning and is cereal, tea & coffee, nothing fancy just something to make it a little easier on the bank balance. we have a free meal every night, the free portion is a 'backpacker meal' upgrades start from $1... cheap and cheerful. we obviously advise ALL guests to lock the doors as they leave but it is hard to monitor in a 12 bed dorm. we have a HUGE communal area in the bar with free WiFi, a large swimming pool with loungers. we also have plenty of hammocks around the place and outdoor seating at the kitchen so out guests can enjoy the beautiful tropical weather we have. we are waiting on parts for the blinds you mentioned however the room does have 2 ensuite bathrooms so at least it shouldn't have effected your stay too much. we wish you all the best for the rest of your travels :) love beach house

Air conditioning and Free Wi-fi access not working. Its far away from the city and although theres a shuttle every hour to the city, its not that handy.

30 min walk from the city center. It is about 4 long blocks from ocean front, you can walk along the boardwalk into the city, nice walk. Or take the free shuttle bus each hour that they operate. Free wi-fi is great in the main area, won't work inside your room though. All the staff were nice. Grocery store right next door, the kitchen was nice. Pool was great as well. Only thing really holding it back is the location, it is a long walk after you finish partying in the city!

The owner to the hostel was really frienly and lovely! However I can't say the same for the other staff! Very clicky in their own little group and would like to sit and chat together not what u would expect from hostel staff! location wise, was a litle out about 30 mins from everything, however there was a free shuttle but that was getting fixed the first 3night of my stay! but when it was working it was great! But over all $15 a night, free wifi, free meal, free shuttle very goo value!!

Nice and clean hostel, a bit fare out side the city, but the free shuttle bus makes up for it.
