The atmosphere here was awesome! The staff were very helpfully snd always up for a chat. The movie room and free wifi is a great feature to this place. At first I thought it would be hard to meet people since it was so big but between the tv room, bar area, movie room and kitchen, always people around. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the showers, they had hot water which was nice but no privacy with the open washroom and shower concept. Perfect location, in a vibrant area, near attractions! Was just what i needed for a quick weekend break in Edinburgh. Wow! Feels like living in a creepy old mansion, but in the best way. The only downside was that it was really hard to meet people willing to talk because most were longstays and hung out in their little groups, not speaking english. But i think that's just the way hostels work in the winter...
Lots of fun things though, movie room was awesome and free breakfast is always an excellent idea. Gold star!Wow! Feels like living in a creepy old mansion, but in the best way. I really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely come back. The staff was really nice. The decoration/painting really helped add character and make it a more fun place to stay.
