We really enjoyed the breakfast which offered a rich variety of food. The staff was super friendly and helpful, also the bar is a big plus. You've got free Internet access everywhere. Only disadvantage: at night it can be noisy in the corridors and there are no showers in the rooms.

The best hostel I have ever stayed in (and I have been around). Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, location was fantastic; only a short walk to the Royal Mile. Rooms were clean (tables/chairs and lockers that could fit a large bag in). 2 soft pillows and warm showers with high pressure! The cushion area was great, a good place to unwind and use the laptops that are freely available from the bar. Would recommend to all to stay here.

Great hostel. One of the best Ive stayed in... and I think Im over 200 different hostels now so that is saying something. The only thing I could really fault them on was the silly push button showers that stay on for 10 seconds... and the slightly undersized kitchen for the number of beds. It is funky, roomy and has heaps of cool services including good wifi, good breakfast, Wii, Movie room, local info etc. Great feel to the place and well thought out. 2 PILLOWS is awesome, BIG lockers for all!

Lots of different services including free breakfast and a beanbag theatre. The beds are excellent and comfy, lockers are available as well as decent showers and toilets. Pro's: - lots of services including beanbag theatre and Wii -- clean toilets and showers - comfy beds - friendly staff - no curfew Con's: - Effing busy (always at least 10 people everywhere) - Rather noisy - Kitchen is way too small - Very expensive compared to other hostels!!! ( the extras weren't worth the high price)

Nice big hostel with good facilities. Room was a bit hot or cold depending if the window was open (38 bed dorm) and people weren't respecting other people sleeping early in the morning (a guy was skyping in the room waking everybody up).

Adored this place, and all the quirky little touches such as the artwork everywhere, and the Xbox Kinect in the laundry room!

Me and two friends had a great stay at this very cool hostel! The location of the hostel was very convenient and easy to find. Very nice staff that always gave you a smile when passing the lobby. Will definitely stay here at my next to Edinburgh as well!

The hostel was great! I loved the bean bag wifi room and the bean bag cinema! I felt really safe buzzing into the hostel. The bathrooms were really clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The only downside is it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the royal mile. But you walk Princes street and the gardens on your way there.

Good location near Princes Street and not too far away from the Castle and The Royal Mile (10mns). Clean, safe, nice staff. Bed wasn't that good but ok none the less. Breakfast is nice and internet room very convenient. Caledonian is a good choice to discover the city.

Laid back atmosphere, pretty quiet throughout the day. A little far to walk from everything else. \\\\breakfast lasts from 6-12 which means that you won't be hungry if you slept in. Pubs and co-ops nearby. There is a good little bar in the hostel. About six computers that are usually unoccupied, no fees. Free wifi, no bullshit sign up gimmicks either, just connection. Showers and facilities were clean all the time. Dorm was clean warm and comfy bed. A good stay for sure.

I really liked this hostel, was very clean and cosy. Friendly and helpfull staff. Great location. Rooms were tidy., bathrooms very clean. Daily cleaning routine. I was travelling alone, but didn´t feel lonely at all. I´ve met lot of friendly people here. I especially liked the breakfast where everyone had opportunity to meet some nice people and have a chat. Cinema was great as well. Well worth the money. If I am in Edinburgh next time I will definitely stay in this hostel.
