Awesome hostel!! Less than one block to the beach, nice staff, freet surfboards and bike rentals... probably one of the best hostels I've been. Only negative point is that the room is very small, but since I just stayed there while sleeping, it was ok! I'm definetely going back!!!

Amazing hostel! The location is perfect: 1 block from the beach, 2 blocks from all the bars and restaurants. The staff was really helpful and open to everyone and the atmosphere there was perfect. The free breakfast and bike and surfboard rentals make it well worth your money! If you're looking for a place to party every night, go to a different hostel. If want to meet cool people, hang out, surf and have a beer in the evening, go to California Dreams!

This place is disgusting. I booked a three night stay and stayed one night. I rented a "private room" which includes a dirty bunk bed - mysteriously it smelled like Indian food, although I saw no Indian restaurants nor anyone cooking. The room next to me had two European girls who drank with a bunch of others in their room till midnight, then returned at 3am and knocked on my door "looking for blankets". I wanted to laugh when the guy at the front desk asked why I was checking out.

There was a problem with my reservation. But the staff solve this problem inmediatly and they offer us a room in an excellent hotel behind the hostel. So we have a great room and we could use the hostel amenities. Everything great!!!

I thought that the location was great! The food however wasn't very much and kind of was displayed messy. However it isn't a 5 star hotel so its ok. The bunks weren't too bad as I've slept in much worse conditions. It is dorm style where there isn't too much to move around in but people are respectful about staying out of and making less noise once inside. There were a couple of snorers but I don't think you can really help that you'll always be taking a chance.
