This hostel was a really nice place to stay, because it was small and cosy but still you had everything you needed. I would suggest going here if you want to stay within a beautiful evironment and do some outdoor activities.
Very old equipment, not very clean and not good for couples. The shower is a catastrophe. We actually planned to stay for two nights, but left as soon as possible when we saw the inventory.
very quiet location, if you snore a bit at night it is very likely you are disturbing your roommates. The last person in the 4th dorm gets the upper bunk - it's hard to get in, it is also close to the ceiling. Not saying that it is a complaint though! Pretty near the amazing cow hill circuit, just go to the main road and exit town by walking left. Would been perfect experience if the owners gave me a full tour at arrival, just discovered the bouldering wall shared space/hikers/drying room late
This hostel is like a home away from home, it had everything that we needed including cooking foil in the kitchen draw. We really appreciated the lack of stick on notes that many accommodation houses have everywhere. Allan and Sue let trust people to use common sense which in turn make us relax and really enjoy our stay.
Wouldn't change a thing. Great hostel, excellent facilities, common areas are spacious but also homey. Very relaxed.
