first the bad: the water preassure in the shower was weak and the water temperature not hot enough, there was no heating in the rooms and there were no computers, which means that if you don\'t have a laptop you have to go the library to use the internet (no money). still I would recommend this hotel. the rooms are big, the beds are wide and wooden (so they don\'t squeak with every turn). it generally has a nice feel to it. and it\'s right above a bar, which was very funfirst the bad: the water preassure in the shower was weak and the water temperature not hot enough, there was no heating in the rooms and there were no computers, which means that if you don\'t have a laptop you have to go the library to use the internet (no money). still I would recommend this hotel. the rooms are big, the beds are wide and wooden (so they don\'t squeak with every turn). it generally has a nice feel to it. and it\'s right above a bar, which was very fun...Close

Great fun. Bar is great. A little run down, but clean. A bit too close to Cracktown, but made for half the fun in the neighbourhood. Great area for pot smokers. New amsterdam cafe and vapor lounge just round the corner.Great fun. Bar is great. A little run down, but clean. A bit too close to Cracktown, but made for half the fun in the neighbourhood. An ideally located hostel right in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Loacted above a brilliant pub, I initially thought my stay would have been a very noisy one but not so. You can't hear the noise from the downstairs bar in the rooms above and the rooms were also nice and large and very clean. The free breakfast at the amazing cafe next door is also a bonus... the security is also good with the electronic keys. For $22 a night it's definitely worth it. Not a very clean hostel. The common areas were cleaned every day, but when it rained the mens bathroom roof leaked so that you'd get wet in all of the cubicles. Beds and rooms were a good size, but some of the furniture was old and stained. The common room was quite small and consisted of a few lounges and a TV and the kitchen was only large enough for one person to comfortably cook at a time. The pub downstairs provided the entertainment, but the meals there were hideous. Good for a room. Not a very clean hostel. some creepy guy in his 40's kept getting drunk and saying gross things to me and looking me up and down in the lounge....i think people over 40 should not stay in hostels!! other than that it was really fun. some creepy guy in his 40's kept getting drunk and saying gross things to me and looking me up and down in the lounge....i think people over 40 should not stay in hostels!! other than that it was really fun. ...Close
