Very loud at night, cramped rooms with mousetraps everywhere. Not good.

The girl's washroom didn't have any hand towels in there the 2 nights I stayed, the washrooms were also dirty. Apart from the handy location and the friendly staff I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

My first ever hostel stay, and all in all a positive experience! The Cambie - Seymour felt welcoming and safe, and I appreciated the awesome deal for the breakfast wrap. Would definately stay there again!

Shower screens are far too transparent, no privacy whilst showering.

The beds were super janky, made out of 2x4s. The bar was EXTREMELY LOUD -- like to an unreasonable degree, and I had the room that was as far away from the bar as possible. The bathrooms were fairly dirty. I have stayed in many hostels in many different places and this is the first time I've ever cut my stay short and moved to a different hostel because of how bad it was. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the actual atmosphere and facilities were very far below average. Not worth it.

Upon our arrival, the staff was rude. He was snappy and seemed annoyed at our presence. The sheets were dirty, there was hair and stains. It didn't look like they bothered to clean them before our arrival.

Great place and location, just need to have a map of the local area showing supermarkets, money exchange etc, just to get people started...it will also save them asking a million questions ;)

Great location! It's right above a bar, so I heard from others it was very noisy if you went to bed before 4 am, but we didn't, so it was a fun weekend!

The hostel is above a pub so if your into the party scene then you will love this hostel. The hostel is very clean but they need new mattresses, they feel way too old and don\'t count on a good nights sleep unless your exhausted.

The Hostel should be renovated. The mattresses were to old and should be exchanged. Also, the walls should be repainted with a new colour.

I had heard really bad reviews of this hostel, but needed to save money, so I went for it anyways. I felt it was a pretty good value, especially for the downtown location. I didn't have trouble sleeping over the noise like others commented (I was two floors up though). While the place was a little messy, it didn't seem to me to be much of an issue. The bathrooms were clean often and always had hot water. I would definitely stay here again. Made great friends!

it is good for the price you pay. Hostels in Vancouver are very expensive, and for the location and what it has to offer it is very good. The staff a very friendly and always willing to help out wherever possible. The kitchen leaves a lot to be desired, there is very little in the way of kitchen utensils to cook with and most the pot and pans are either so scratched up you cant use them or they are missing handles. Apart from that it is good value

Staying in a hostel is amazing to meet people and have heaps of fun but leave few privacys. This I don't mind, however the bathroom arrangement of stripping off before getting in the shower is an unnecessary taking of privacy. I've stayed in plenty of hostels and have never seen this before and would probably never stay again

Location of this hostel is great. The first room I was put in was really dirty mainly because of the people in the room. I requested another room and got one without problems. Much cleaner room but the matrass had it best time a few years ago. The whole hostel could do with a big referb. One toilet broken toilets and bathroom could be much cleaner and shower one shower was not working how it should.

Enjoying my time here. Vancouver is an expensive city and the hostel is in an expensive place so be prepared. Always kept very clean and secure. The hostel offers a weekly rate reduction which should have been advertised on Hostelworld.
