No lockers in the rooms, the kitchen was very sticky (grim), the staff weren't great, dubious bedding, very cold, possibly haunted. They did have Cranium and a nice shower though.

The Cambie is a classic in Nanaimo, but it isn't for everyone. It is close to downtown Nanamio, the ferries, and other transportation. The price for a room is fine, and you're right above a bar so you don't have to walk too far to get a drink. But, downtown bar means there are some seedy looking fellows around, the noise keeps going until after midnight, and it isn't a tranquil place to chill. I would recommend it for anyone as long as they are aware of what they are getting into.
