Cambie Hostel Reviews

The website doesn't tell all about Cambie Hostel. It doesn't say that the rooms are directly above a noisy pub which has late night karaoke and concerts until 1:30 am on a weeknight. Then drunk patrons are shouting and laughing on the street outside until 3 am. Travellers should be informed that it's a party hostel and not to expect a good night sleep. If the website isn't updated to clarify this, travellers who book for more than 1 night should get a refund, no questions asked. Worst place!

The room was nice and it was great having your own bathroom in the room. The main problem was that the common area/kitchen was very small and poorly equipped. We tried cooking dinner there but two of the hobs were broken and the other two very uneven. There was no dish detergent so we're not sure how clean any of the kitchen stuff was. Also our bedroom was very cold at night. As advertised on their webpage, this is a party hostel so we could hear the music from downstairs very clearly.
