Its freezing inside, no air-con. I ended up with a serious infection in my throat after staying here.j The light in the bathroom is really bad, not good if you want to put in contact lenses. The internet is also pretty slow. I would never stay here again

It's a really lovely place to stay. There's a big garden between you and the main road where you can sit and hang out. The staff speak good english and are very happy to help out. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily.

a very good value hostel. our room is huge with a super hot and strong shower (very important during winter times). we love the courtyard, too. a nice place to chill and plugs-in are everywhere so that you don't need to compete with other users to go online. the staff are attentive and very helpful. they also helped us arrange train tickets. will definitely stay there again!

The bus information is excellent, but one piece of info is out of date, which caused us a problem- the 85 no longer gos from round the corner! This should be corrected. The restaurant could offer a few more choices, maybe? Two very small comments on an otherwise super hostel.

Pros: our room was big and clean, free computers and internet. Cons: the staff wasn't very helpful and just sent you to look things up on the internet if you asked something, the location wasn't so good (and public transportation in Kunming is not easy to get along with) so we spent a lot of time on getting from one place to another. if there's another choice, I think it would be wise to stay at a more centrally-located hostel.

Nicely tucked away out of the city. The front 'garden' was a great place to chill out and all facilities were excellent. Rooms spacious and clean, although the ensuite in the female dorm should have another door - felt like you were using the toilet right under your roommates' noses! Staff were generally pleasant but sometimes couldn't be bothered to help with travel queries. Definitely glad I stayed here instead of an inner-city hostel.
