The staff was great - really caring and gave us lots of hints for beaches, bars, etc. However, the bedroom was less than expected, because there were no windows (we stayed at a double bed private) and no air conditioner. In addition to that, there were a lot of mosquitos (everywhere in Florianópolis), which was solved by an electric repeller (the problem was that we had to buy that because there was none in the bedroom). Besides, the location is great, in the south part of the island.

We booked a private double and were actually given a whole dorm room to ourselves with two single beds pushed together. Not exactly a problem, but the two beds were different heights/quality, so made it quite uncomfortable as a couple! The hostel is a bit of a DIY building added onto their original house. The breakfast was lovely though, and Amanda was so very helpful on things to see around the island and gave us maps, bus details etc.

Really nice and chilled place. The owners were very friendly and helpful. When I stayed there didn't seem to be anyone else there though, so very quiet. The location is handy to catch the bus to other places, but there isn't anything much close by.

We really enjoyed our stay here after 2 horrid nights in a noisy hostel in Lagoa. This was just what we needed. It is kind of far from the beach but most places we stayed in Florianopolis were too. The family are very welcoming and extremely helpful and the hostel has a great vibe. very laid back. Breakfast was the best we have had in 9 weeks in South America with lots of fruit. comfy beds and quiet nights. relax at this hostel.

The place has got character, the breakfast is great, it is family-owned and the staff is friendly and warm. Everything added to the atmosphere of friendliness and fun - it was one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in.
