We felt very welcome to Fusina Camping the moment we stepped up to the information desk. The staff was always willing to help and were easy to communicate with. A few employees knew three or four languages. Almost every staff member I came in contact with spoke english. The accommodations were far beyond what we were expecting. We would have liked to have had bath towels though. Everything else that you could need is close by. We loved our stay!

Camping Fusina is located outside Venezia island, so it\'s quite difficult to get there in the late evening, because the last ferry or/and bus goes ca. 20. Except that fact, the camping is excellent, quite cheap (9,5eur or 13eur via hostels.com), full of greenery all around, silently, very clean.

The best place to stay when you\'re going to Venice! The prices are great even for the restaurant and a minimarket inside the camping.

The staff was rude and wanted to keep our documents by the end of the stay without having clear vision why and what a can happened to a turist in Venice without id.Don't ever let them do that!

It's a nice place, but the location is terrible. You have to take a ferry to/from the main island of Venice, which (a) only runs once every hour, (b) starts and ends at inconvenient times in the day, and (c) is near-impossible to find (the station in Venice) I was impressed with the facilities and staff, however.

This is a great campground. The facilities were great, it is surrounded by nature, they have their own pub and mini-market. The price is very reasonable. The only complaint I have is the location. Because it is a 20 minute ferry from Venice, the boat leaves once an hour, and stops running around 8pm, it is not for travelers who want to experience Venice at night. Other than that, two thumbs up.

It's a campsite so expectations are different than your typical hostel. Extremely clean though, with plenty of facilities. Great community feeling. No wifi though and internet computers are very expensive. Also need to factor in cost of taking the ferry to and from Venice (different than the transit ferries and not included in their pass)

It value for this money. Not free wi-fi access (as in 99% of italian hostels) but good infrastructure and transportation to/from Venice

The staff were very friendly and accomodating, but the hostel is located on the mainland (need a boat from the city). The last boat leaves Venice at 20.30 and the round-trip ticket was I think 14 Euro? Meaning if you want to sleep in the hostel you have to pay an extra chunk of change just to get there, and you have to leave the city early.

nice location when you arrive by car, as we did. we were able to park directly in front of our \"room\". the ferry-service to venice is excellent (12 euro pp). the rooms are ok for 1 or 2 nights, not very clean, not very comfortable beds and very thin walls. the bar on the camp ground is quite expensive (5 euro for 0,5 l beer), but in venice, EVERYTHING is expensive. all in all, it suits our needs - for an excellent price!

Pretty great and inexpensive site. Getting to Venice by boat is extremely simple, however if you want to take a less expensive bus ride it is a little bit harder. The campground has it's own bar/restuarant as well as convenience store, so the fact that it is not located near a town is not really a problem. The staff are very friendly and it was very easy to meet new people who are also traveling around.

Beds are comfortable, bathrooms and showers are Clean. Very friendly staff gave us a map when we checked in. When we had to check out early because of the time our train departed they instructed us on how to take the bus instead of the ferry to Venice s. Lucia. They have the best Pizza in all of Venice you should try the pizza "al algo"(something like that lol) and add Tuna.

It was a nice area to camp but it was pricey to take the ferry across to the Islands. It might be cheaper to get a hostel closer to one of the train stations and be closer to the main sights.

We stayed in the cabin and it was very basic but for the cost it was what you would expect. The restaurant is alright, food is cheaper than on Venice. You have to include the cost of using the ferry every day into your expenses. 12 euros there andback or get a 3 day unlimited pass for 25. The ferry only comes every hour though and last one leaves at 830. So if you plan on staying late it is difficult to get back.

Wow! While we saved money staying here, I'd advise likely guests to stay elsewhere if they plan to visit Venice. The ferry service and bus run once per hour, and stop at 6pm or 8pm depending on the time of year. The staff did not make this extremely clear when booking, and thus we were unable to see Venice our first day since we arrived after 6pm. Also be aware, that many services don't operate until April 1st.

It was a good place to stay, but to pay for 6 euros for one way boat is quite expensve. You have to use boat or bus in order to reach venice. However, it is good for this price.
