exellent value; good central location close to interesting sites. Only problem :food smells seem to be coming from somewhere.Checked kitchen and windows even back balcony but it did not come from there.It was however very penetrating. despite that would consider using it again. David

Hi there. Thanks for staying with us and thanks for the comments. There is a restaurant downstairs but their extraction system is new and all in order, so I can only guess that the food smell you mention was comming from a neighbour's house or that someone had cooked something strong-smelling in the kitchen. I do appologise for this. It has never been a problem before and in 9 years living in the property I never noticed any kitchen smells in the house other than when we were cooking ourselves. I did not actually end up staying at this hostel, but I'm writing this review to give praise to the staff for being so helpful to us. There was an accidental mix-up with our reservation (due to a computer error) and although we arrived to find our room already booked to someone else, they were nice enough to find us another nearby hostel to stay in and even paid the difference in price for us. Very nice folks! And from what we saw, the place seemed very clean, comfortable and secure.

Hi guys! Sorry again for the trouble we put you through. I hope you had a good stay at the other Hostel and that it was not too much of an inconvenience for you. In two years this is the only the second incident where there has been a problem with overbooking, though we of course always find a solution, either with the 4 star hotel next door or with one of the other Hostels or Hotels in the area. I hope you can come again and enjoy our little Guest House, or maybe visit the north side of the island and stay in our other property in Santa Margarita. Kind regards. The hostel is clean, is cosy and friendly, has a nice bathrooms and kitchen, almost everything is new. the location is great, if you are coming from the airport there is a great bus connetion. you have to remeber that they don't have a 24hour desk, and the hour you will put during booking it will be the time when somebody will come, but also there is a number and you can call.

You are correct, it is very important to tell us what time you will arrive, as we do not have a 24 hour reception service, we program all checkins with guests so that we will be there when you arrive. But there are 3 telephone numbers which can be contacted if there are any last minute changes. I have now stayed here twice, Can teo is very central, easy to get to from the airport, just get on No.1 bus just outside airport no problem. Great value for your money, easy to arrange would recommend to anyone on a budget.

Due to the absence of staff, I had a very noisy night with a room located just opposite to the kitchen with a spontaneous ongoing party organized by the other quests.

Hi there! I'm sorry you had trouble during your stay. It is true that there is no permanent staff in our guesthouse. We do our best to limit the ammount of noise people can make, the kitchen can not be used after 23:00 and there are two cameras posted, one in the kitchen and one in the hallway, so that we can check on activity and noise levels and send someone over if necessary. If you stay with us again I would just like to remind you that you can call any of the three telephone numbers which are on all our communications, cards and signs, as well as on the information we send our guests. We can generally be at the guest house within 15 minutes of any call placed to solve any possible conflicts or situations. Again, my appologies for your bad experience with us. Kind regards. The staff is very gentle but there is not soap on the toilettes and you are lucky if you find toilette paper.

Hi there. I'm sorry to say that this review is totally false in its content. Our guesthouse is cleaned daily (and sometimes twice a day when there are large numbers of people staying), without fail, either by myself or by one of my colleagues. There has not been a single day since February, when we opened to the public, that there has been no toilet paper. There is always one roll on the hangers and at least three more rolls in the large bathroom, next to the toilet, and at least five rolls in the small bathroom, on the shelf under the washbasin. As for the soap issue, there is normally a bottle of liquid soap in each bathroom, unless a guest has decided to take it home as a souvenir or has put it in their bag by mistake.
