The hostel was very good, all the staff are really friendly and helpful. There is a very good atmosphere. The rooms and beds are ok, the bathrooms clean and the showers work very good. However, I think the breakfast could be a little bit improved, for example offer cereal and some kind of juice without cost.

Best hostel I've ever stayed in. So much fun and great staff. Every night has different activities and the free breakfast is so nice if you're on a budget. I'll be coming back to this hostel a few more times.

We were in Toronto on two very hot days. There was no ventilation and the window was largely blocked by a bunk bed, so it was very hot. Also, the room was under the sloping roof, so it looked a little like Harry Potter's "room under the stairs." Other than that, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and it is located right in the heart of downtown Toronto (though the site is a target for gentrification so may be torn down in the future).

Really nice atmosphere. It seems a lot of people live here for months at a time whilst trying to find somewhere to live in Toronto so if you stay here not in the summer months it could be a bit cliquey and there may not be many people who are travelling through. The facilities are top notch - really good kitchen in the basement, nice comfy chairs in various lounge areas, nice little backyard with pool tables etc. The dorm felt really safe (I was in a 10-bed female dorm) and bathrooms are clean.

Very nice place with a ton of amenities/services. Everything from very nice, individual bathrooms, to free wifi, to free wine and cheese at night, to day trips to niagra falls, to an iron, to free computers and a printer, to free breakfast and tea, to security lockers in each room. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Thanks for your feedback – should you find the wifi isn’t working for you, we have computers you can use for free (by reception). We clean the hostel 3 times daily; cleanliness is very important! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed our location and got along well with our staff.

Good location right in the middle of Entertainment District. I stayed in a separate building with my own set of keys, but the facility was well-kept apart from that. It's an old building, so ear-plugs are essential, specially if you are a light sleeper. Great lockers inside the room really helped things.

Nice and BIG hostel (6 houses next to each other). With great reception staff. Amazing atmosphere in main house with people gathering together. Right in the hearth of Toronto. Only letdown was that you have to pay 20 dollars per day for parking which was never mentioned on this site.

The house is old and of low building standards, but they made the best of it.

Thanks for your review! We love our Victorian houses – they definitely add a homely feel to the hostel.

Great location... The beds need an upgrade and the wash rooms were far too small

Owner Comment (Hide)
Thanks for your feedback! We have a couple of small washrooms but many of them are HUGE! Next time you come to stay, have an explore around the hostel.
