I only stayed one night, but it was awesome! Very clean, great stuff and the pub crawl which is every Saturday was so much fun: cheap drinks, great people and free admission in a very cool nightclub to finish up the pub crawl. Also, I really loved the patio, where everybody sat in the evening/night to get to know people from all over the world and just have a fun time. Only negative thing: I booked a 4 bed female dorm and ended up in a 6 bed female dorm. But wasn't so bad for one night.

Excellent location with walkable distance to major attractions, easy for transportation to and from airport by airport express, friendly and helpful staff, great discount on tickets and the niagra fall day tour they recommended is great

Good & cheap hostel, well located in the Entertainement neigborhood. I was disappointed by the non friendly atmosphere. Alone during 3 days, nobody talked to me (even in my room !) It is the first time it happens to me in 7 years of travelling... :-(

I was very disappointed to find the kitchen in a windowless room in the basement, with very little in the way of usable utensils. The other thing was that it was insanely loud in the afternoon and evening in the common area downstairs, with various people blasting computer music without any consideration for others and none of the staff asked them to keep it down. A party atmosphere in a hostel is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as there is the possibility to escape from it, not here though

Great Hostel to meet people! Location is great, it is right Downtown in the middle of the action: clubs, restaurants, chinatown, stores to go shopping, etc. The staff was very helpful and always trying hard to keep the area clean!!! lots of bathrooms with showers!! the area looked safe. I never felt unsafe while walking at night to the hostel. I usually stay at hostels. I highly recommend it!

A nice hostel and friendly staff. Parking lot was very tight and crowded however, so it can be tricky to safely manoeuvre without a second person to direct you. Descent room, but no screen in window (an invitation to bugs...) and squeaky beds.

I was impressed by the atmosphere when I arrived. It seemed like a lot of fun. I was not very impressed when I got the bed sheets and I had to remove 5-6 strands of someone else's hair. I expected better. The floors were filthy and the place seemed dirty. I also could not get the wifi to wok for me, nor could I find the pancakes in the morning. In general, I thought this was an average hostel. I expected it to be cleaner, but the staff were super friendly.

This is a very good hostel - located on a street perfect for seeing the city and in a safe and fun area. Parking is available for the evening for free, 6pm to 8am. Rooms of an OK size, maybe a touch small, and the number of bathrooms for rooms is a touch low, but facilities all good. Hostel organises events in the evenings and breakfast is fine and other food can be served. Would definitely recommend.

My bed was double-booked and I got woken up at 4am on the first night by someone asking for it back. Stumbling out in the clothes I had out, with my bag in tow, thankfully there was someone on duty at the front desk. After some confusion, they assigned me another private room in compensation, but I climbed three floors only to barge in on an occupied room, waking up the occupants. I asked for my money back, didn't get the deposit though.

Pros: Great location, 1 block away from queen street and within walking distance to everything! One of the cleanest hostels I've ever stayed in. The pancake breakfast is great, but be careful not to sleep in too late, it's on first come, first serve basis and it can go fast. Cons: Parking!!! It said that it has parking onsite, but when I arrived it turns out that they CHARGE 20 dollars a day for parking, and there are only 4 spots available! So we had to search around for parking else where

Pros: You cannot get a better location! Excellent hostel :) Cons: The washrooms smelled like urine. Also, there is only a kitchen section in the main portion of the hostel which isn't very convenient if you are in one of the other buildings, and not only that, but the fridges are jammed full so it's nigh impossible to find space for yourself. It would make more sense to have at least a partial kitchenette in each of the buildings - we shouldn't have to go to another building to use a fridge.

Despite the age difference, we are in our 60s and all the others were university-age, we enjoyed interacting with them in the very cozy common lounge dining room. However I must say the hostel could use more shower facilities, or is it that young people tend to stay in the showers longer? I must also add that sleeping on our second night was very difficult as the partying went on and on and got louder and louder as more alcohol got consumed. Quiet time should be at 2:00 am and should be enforced

Nice hostel. Staff were very friendly and informative. Very good location in the heart of the Entertainment District- centrally located with Chinatown and Little Italy to the west, down town a short walk away and two bust, bustling streets full of bars, restaurants, fast food joints not far away. Would say though that there are people staying there long-term, and thus, did kind of feel that I was an outsider passing through.

The Canadiana Backpackers Inn is my favorite hostel in Toronto. They offer free breakfast, free wifi, free lockers to rent out, and a large living room to meet new people around the world. The rooms are super clean, and the staff are very friendly. The location is also very central downtown. Overall, I would highly recommend this hostel. It is the best in Toronto!
