Staff is really friendly and helpful. Good hostel and location is also good. They organise stuff for every night even though I didn't join I think it's a great way to meet people!

We went to that hostel because we heard good comments about the pub crawl and we wanted to go out. The girl who was organizing it that night made us wait 30 minutes, then told us we would go to a bar nearby for 15 minutes, then take a taxi a go to the gay village, who was 15 minutes away. This is not a pub crawl, and it was not well organized, we were really dissapointed, we went out on our own.

The Canadiana is a very well-located hostel, the staff were very friendly and helpful and they seemed to keep the place clean. The only problem I had really was that a lot of the people in my room had laptops/smartphones and there were not enough power outlets and we found ourselves fighting over them. But, on the whole, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hostel to anyone travelling on a budget.

Like always a nice stay! Except the mattress in my bett this time was already broke and my back hurt after 5 minutes laying in the bed...

Hip place in downtown within easy walking distance to public transportation. They offer different kinds of activities each day and even contain a small cinema. The common areas were always crowded which created a lively atmosphere but forced people to remain in their rooms if they wanted to chill out. The noise of the people in the common areas though was not perceivable in the room.

I enjoyed my stay at the Canadiana so much. There are a lot of long stay people there who are very friendly and will make you feel like part of the community instantly. Most people staying there are working holiday people rather than travelers so I wouldn't describe it as a party hostel but there was a group going out to the local bars every night. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and most are good friends with a lot of the guests as well. Great location as well.

Nice atmosphere, especially considering the weather was pretty rubbish and many guests were bound to staying indoors. Warm & comfortable with a good kitchen and laundry.

The first day we arrived was at 7am we hesitated thinking that reception wouldnt be open as we entered a irish girl greeted us and gave us a grand tour and letting us store our bags until check in, she even offered tea and coffee. Was very helpful considering we were only in Toronto for one night. Was a great experience.

Very clean and staff was very helpful. Great location. Long term parking across the street at extra expense but worth it.
