Good place to stay overall. people seem to prefer to stay in Taganga because it is more touristy, and the neighborhood this hostal is in a basic town neighborhood, it is not touristy and a bit more dirty. Regardless, the location is nice because you can walk to an alright beach nearby and the main street to grab groceries or catch a 15 minute bus to Taganga or any bus is only a walk away. The staff was really helpful and friendly and the facilities are good. A bit sketchy at night, but safeinday

Is not unsafe because of the place itself, but for the neighborhood, really scary at night.

Candela y Chocolate was a chilled out place to stay. Sadly my sister and I did not spend too much time there during the days because we got word of Taganga for the beaches and resided there during daytime. We loved the breakfast included and the Lulo welcome drinks when we arrived. We're officially obsessed with Lulo now =.j. Daniel was always very nice and helpful. We had a great time.

The people working at the hostel are lovely and it has a nice communal area. Be aware, there is no air conditioning, and all the dorm rooms have a gap in the wall at the top so noise carries. The area around the hostel can be a little dangerous at night.
