Great place, very good location and the best thing was that internrt worked fast and was free (which is an unusual thing for China).

Great stay for the week of chinese New year. Really helpful staff, perfect location and clean rooms. The only complaint would be that the common area could be warmer, although it was the middle of winter. Atmosphere was great nice homely feel and good food. Would stay again!

There were many problems with this hostel, mostly due to the fact they were renovating and didn't mention it at all. It was quite annoying to walk in and see that everything they mentioned on their profile was either closed or being moved. Walking around the hostel was a practice in preventing frostbite. There was absolutely no place outside of your room to congregate (at least in winter) that was not ice cold. I could not get Internet, neither WiFi nor wired. Although staff were good.

Staff looked unhappy and not so willing to help, don't expect them to smile at you. The room was clean, nothing to say despite the mattresses to thin to my taste. Close to the subway, but the neighborhood is not lively, so too bad beijing subway stop so early.

Hostel was in a good location, however the staff couldn't be bothered to help and made me feel like as if i was hassling them if i asked even the simplest request. Wasnt impressed.

It is a great place to stay and through its location between two underground stops well connected. The staff is friendly and it is a very well run, clean place. The staff could be slightly more open and advise places to go, maybe different to the "usual suspects" (main tourist attractions). For a hostel they have been quite strict regarding activities (billiard etc) around midnight but on the other hand they have been always supportive and good for a laugh.

We actually sent nearly 3 weeks at this guesthouse. It was our 2nd stay and each time has been good. The staff have been very helpful especially Vivien. If we had any issues regarding our stay it was attended to. A friend recommended ys Candy Inn and we definately will and already have done so ourselves.

This hostel is super cute and relaxed. The environment is chill and the staff will help you with anything you need! The beds were made every day. The bathroom is a little dirty, but nothing awful. We loved it here.

Staff issues. First, the girl who works in the restaurant is unfriendly and played Eminem every MORNING. They also did not reserve our room for our last night, even though we discussed it together upon arrival. They moved us to a sister hostel, but we had already lost half of our day and had to rush through the Forbidden city and missed Tiananmen. They did not say sorry to us until we were leaving. I saw another unhappy group asking for a price reduction bc the staff messed up on their booking

We stayed six nights and it adapted to the uncleany room. However, the price is cheap, food is very good and internet works quite well and the atmosphere is nice. Well located to two subway lines. Exchange of towels never happened and seldomly cleaned the room during our stay.

This place was lovely and comfortable. Very close to public transport as well. I was hoping for it to be a little more social, but the bar area was not busy as the drinks were overpriced! I would stay here again though due to price, comfort, and location! Save your 50 yuan deposit receipt- if you do not have it, you do not get your deposit back!

The staff was very nice, and was extremely practical having the staff assisting us in the booking of tours and train tickets. Althought it isn't the cleaners joint I've been, it was great experience. Recommended!

Great Hostel in the Hutong area. Room had a ensuite bathroom - which might lead to trouble in a eight bed dorm - but didn't during the days I stayed there. You also got a towel. Facebook access on one if the public computers. I'd go there again. Two minutes to the next subway station!

The buffet was a big disappointment. It was expensive and not worth it considering they only put out a fraction of the food needed to feed everyone and didn't put out anymore when it ran out.

free wifi was only available our 1st night, after that we could not connect, although there were two computers in reception which were free to use providing there was no queue. kettle in room though which was good and free water to top your bottle.

booked this hostel because of the good reviews, was somewhat disappointed. rooms had no view outside (daylight comes in through bathroom window). our room was quite smelly. towels etc were hardly changed, which is ok for a hostel, but one day we found our bed made up (good) with the used wet towels under the blanket!! (very bad).

The hostel itself is located next to the Lama Temple. 5 min walk from the nearest subway station. Straight after the arrival we were given free beer vouchers. Although the room was nicely furnished with telly, kettle, desk and closet there was annoying humidity/dampness in the air. Except that everything was great. Staff was extremely helpful and Beijing itself is lovely. In general I would recommend Candy Inn.

JUst amazing, plus they are close to everything you need and you can access facebook!!! love them so much miss them already!!! Already trying to plan a way of going back!!!
