Good hostel however major building work on bar area meant communal area was shared with staff and guests making it difficult to find a seat or use Internet. General travel advice and help on booking tickets was also not great. We ended up going to another hostel for information and tickets.

The room we stayed in here was basic but spotless and the en suite was cleaned every day. the location was great, just a couple of mins walk from the subway and right by the Lama temple. A couple of the staff in particular were friendly and helpful, although overall it wasn't the most welcoming and it did feel a bit like you were making a nuisance of yourself if you had lots of questions. Also there wasn't much of an atmmosphere in the bar. In summary, mostly good and we would stay here again.

Luggage room 24 hours unlocked, located on the hallway. Staff except for one staff member doesn t speak English. Smoking on the hallway, so that in your room it also smells of cigarettes. Rooms are dirty and damp. Bad smell. Shower is for Chinese standards acceptable, for Western standards dirty. Coffee machine was broken, no perspective of getting fixed. Instead you are offered coke from the fridge. The rooms are partly located right nex to the living area. It is very load up til midnight.

The rooms are dark, the pipes smell very bad, small window. Staff not very helpful. I wont never go back there. The worse hostel I was (on my 3 months trip in Asia).

good location, near to subway stations, restaurants and convenience stores. located in the hutong, which allowed us to observe and interact with the locals. staffs are friendly and helpful, able to speak english fluently, able to provide appropriate information. our room was cleaned daily. all hygiene amenities were adequate including bath and face towels, toothbrush, soap, hot and cold water. good job, keep up the good work! :)

Yeah..Location the hotel is perfect..but They DIDNT Tell that they already in renovation. So, I didnt get room that match with my booking. They must put 'under renovation' or update the room condition in this hostelworld page.

Very good value and close to the subway station. Food and drinks are offered at the bar. Warning: the tours offered aren\'t that good, so avoid the tours.

Great place, very good location and the best thing was that internrt worked fast and was free (which is an unusual thing for China).

Great stay for the week of chinese New year. Really helpful staff, perfect location and clean rooms. The only complaint would be that the common area could be warmer, although it was the middle of winter. Atmosphere was great nice homely feel and good food. Would stay again!

There were many problems with this hostel, mostly due to the fact they were renovating and didn't mention it at all. It was quite annoying to walk in and see that everything they mentioned on their profile was either closed or being moved. Walking around the hostel was a practice in preventing frostbite. There was absolutely no place outside of your room to congregate (at least in winter) that was not ice cold. I could not get Internet, neither WiFi nor wired. Although staff were good.

Staff looked unhappy and not so willing to help, don't expect them to smile at you. The room was clean, nothing to say despite the mattresses to thin to my taste. Close to the subway, but the neighborhood is not lively, so too bad beijing subway stop so early.
