Made to feel very welcome by Keika and Alan. The garden was delightful and we loved their beautiful ragdoll cat!! We will definitely recommend Canterbury House.

Nice, beautiful and quiet hostel. The beds are good (not noisy!) and they have power points close to the beds, hehe. I would recommend if you like the "house atmosphere" and not a party hostel.

Unfriendly staff, we felt like having constantly someone behind us to check if we did it right. We didn't feel comfortable at all, despite very clean and good location & facilities.

Fantastic service and even got a lift from the kind gentleman who ran the place to the bus stop the next morning!!

A nice place, indeed a homestay rather than a hostel. No staff just elderly owners. Reduces speed of service but adds tranquility to the atmosphere. Free internet is limited to 50Mb. Towels provided. Bunk-bed in the dorm was squeaky but not dramatically. A bit limited kitchen space but okay if the place is not fully booked. The iron in the laundry was a disaster, and the board was on par with it. Overall I would give it a robust B.

A great place to stay if you want some peace and quiet. Extremely clean and great bathroom and kitchen facilities. Free washing machine + clothes line was also a bonus! Not great if travelling alone and looking for a sociable scene, and just a bit too far from shopping/ supermarkets unless you want to catch a bus everywhere. Occasionally felt a bit like I was invading someones house as I wasn't used to homestyle accommodation. Would stay there again if looking for a few relaxing days.

Really nice, clean place, but quite a few rules.

The locations was miles away from the main city centre at least a 30min walk also a 30min walk from the nearest supermarket ! . Had creepy feeling to the place , the owners where very polite and kind , and the facilities were very clean and tidy. This was just simple the couples very big house which they've just opened up some rooms for people. WIFI you have to pay for! No lockers for valuables what so ever!

Hi Sam We thought you and your friend enjoyed your three days with us. Sorry supermarket wasn't on our back door step but dairy was just over the road to get a few items. Bus to city one minute from hostel. We gave free 100MB wifi per night and didn't charge for extra (MB for 10c). We don't have lockers in your room but room was lockable and you had only one guest to share the room during your stay. Safe was available for valuables if you have asked. Overall we try our best to help all guest.
