The staff is rude and the driver don´t care about you!!
After reading good reviews about this hostel I was really disappointed. When we checked in the guy was not friendly, he showed us our room and that's it, whereas other hostels showed us the bathrooms/kitchens etc. and went through the rules. The atmosphere was awkward, and unpleasant due to some of the staff smoking cannabis in the morning.
I stayed 4 nights in girls 8beds dorm. The room and linens were clean. The location is little bit far from the town but we could hire a bicycle for free so the location was not a problem. The place was calm. But in the kitchen there was no plates or folks, spoons. Comprehensively, this backpacker is not bad.
really great place with a fabulous vibe. a bit of a trek to town, but don't let that deter you!
Truely enjoyed our stay here. A bit out of town, but they provide free bike hire & shuttle bus, and it only takes 15 min to walk in to town. The kitchen was grea with lots of cooking geart, people were considerate and cleaned up after themselves, doesn't happen very often! Cool staff, free wifi. Would definitely stay here again!
The vibe in the hostel was just incredible. It's not the kinda place to go if your on a Lads holiday and you just wanna play ber pong and flip cup but definitely the place to be if you want to make incredible friends. There were people at the hostel that have Been there for years and never left. And I can see why! My only regret is that we had a pre-booked flight. Just cannot wait to get back! Home from home ❤️ Clean, facilities are great, Staff are awesome and cheaper than elsewhere!
Great place, only 15 minutes walk to town and the staff were friendly. The females bathroom could do with a little fixing up as one of the locks on the shower didn't work so no one used it. Plus one of the toilets always smelled a little funky. The room was decent sized and clean, same with the kitchen and lounge areas. A nice place I'd happily revisit.
About à 15 minute walk from town, which was not a problem for me, plus there's a shuttle bus. pretty quiet, nice atmosphere. No lockers in room but did have a fridge which is handy, room and showers were as clean as expected in a hostel, I would stay again.
The cheapest hostel in Byton Bay, but a very good alternative to save money, because of a nice atmosphere, clean facilities and a nice common area. The only disadvantage is its location. You have to go 20 min to the next supermarket and the city and a few minutes more to the main beach. There is a bus, but it only departs a few times per day. That is why you have to walk a lot.
Not enough car parks

The staff was really unfriendly, the bathroom is too small ( 2 sinks, 3 showers for the whole hostel!?) and the hostel is just not worth the money..
I had a great time here! The hostel is a bit out of town but you can easily walk and the shuttle bus is for free. The kitchen, common room and bathrooms are clean, the dorms could be cleaner but it's nothing major. Staff is very helpful and friendly! All in all a great hostel to stay in if you're on a budget.
very nice place to stay, cool staff, cool people, really cool relaxed atmosphere . only problem is the location 15 mins walk from the town ( there's a free shuttle almost every hour anyway), and maybe the only 2 powerpoints for 8 people in the room.
