We had a great stay at CTBP. Great atmosphere with lovely staff who will go out of their way to help you. Did some good trips and enjoyed the social scene of the hostel.

Nothing bad to say about this place! Awesome staff that know everything about anything! awesome nights out with them and other guests! They have arranged dinners every couple of days, BBQ's. Location is 2 min walk to Long street, the Main road full of bars and places to eat! rooms and toilets clean! You can stay here 1 night or 100, your bound to enjoy it!

Cape Town Backpackers is a great hostel. I stayed there for a week and loved it. The rooms are clean and the bar is great. The single greatest thing about this place is the staff. They are all really friendly and will go out of their way to ensure you have a fun stay. And if you have any problem figuring out what to do, just talk to Liz at the travel desk - she is a legend and will help organize your time in the region and make all the bookings you need.

I've been around the world and visited dozens of hostels but this is one of the best! Stu and Brian behind the bar are always there to share a beer or two with you and indulge in some banter. Liz is quite simply the travel guru of South Africa and will be able to sort out your life for you....I just wish was wasn't taken! Everything is clean, tidy and comfortable and its really easy to meet people, especially as a single traveller. Just pull up a chair at the bar, order a beer and chat away!
