The staff was excellent in every way. We are older (60's) and they made us feel very welcome.

We absolutely loved this hostel. The location is great, the rooms are clean and spacious, all the facilities are good and it's cheap as well, but this is not what makes this hostel our favourite one in SA. What does, however, is the relaxed atmosphere and the exceptionally charming, sincere and friendly staff who were always willing to chat or help out with whatever we needed, regardless the hour. And we loved the music (they even played Tom Waits...). Go stay there. This place is full of love.

They have the best dorms, probably the best one I slept in on my whole trip, loved the lights by the bed! The staff are really cool and helpful, and I loved the wine tour they sent me on!

The staff was very helpful in arranging airport transfers for us. There are a lot of great restaurants very close by. We stayed in the building behind the main building. It was a quick walk, but one that I would not do on my own at night. There is a security guard nearby, but the gate to the other building is around the corner and not well lighted. The early morning staff was not friendly nor helpful during our check out.

This is my second time here and I will come again. The bar is great with cool staff, the room is clean and quiet, I love the location, being 5 minutes from Long Street to party but being able to sleep when your not partying is excellent. Thanks guys I will be back again!

A good price for a quick night's stay, but unless you want to party it up with the Baz Bus folks all night long, it's just okay. Limited space in hostels, pretty noisy.

The Hostel was very noisy until the early hours of the morning. I was woken up constantly by music and voices in the courtyard below. The Smoke from the courtyard blew into the room when the window was open. would not reccommend staying here to others because of the noise and the smoke. the staff were excellent.

I had a great stay at CPT Backpackers! The staff were so friendly and helpful and enjoyed going out of their way to ensure your happiness. I stayed in the private room and was amazed to have my own patio and outdoor area, and a very cosy bed and double bunk bed to myself! More than I needed but loved having the space. The bar is great and the location is good for all over Cape Town.

It's like 5 minutes walk from Long Street where all the good life takes place and all the noise is up. So you have the fun but the tranquility as well. Basic shopping is nearby as well and staff very kindly and helpful. Just internet is slow an bathrooms could need a renovation. In any case a fine place to stay.
