Absolutely brilliant from arrival to leaving. Checked in quickly. Lovely atmosphere and nothing is too much for the staff. The manager is wonderful with all guests and seems dedicated, making everyone feel important. Would recommend to all who want a great place to stay in Washington DC close to the White House and national mall. I LOVED IT!!!!

So when we first got to the hostel we check in the price hostel world say is the final bill expected when you get there does not include tax!! You can't check in till after 3pm and no cash is excepted. Need an extra $3.50 for the key deposit which you won't get back as the man disappears at check out time! Not that its alot of money but all adds up for him i guess. Location is a half hour walk or just a metro ride away! So not much around the hostel. Rooms are nice. Ps remeber toilet paper!!

Best check your keys when you get them! We got a wrong key and couldn't enter when we came back in the night. After a little adventure and many successless phone calls, we managed to be let in, but I'd rather be on the safe side next time.

There is no one in the reception before 2 PM so it's a bit wierd to check out. Nice to have your own key to the front door but there is no key to the doorms.

Had to move to a building 3 blocks away, where the showers didn't work... at least it was cheap...

That was probably the worst experience that we had in a hostel. There was no one to check in or out. We had to wait an hour. They didn't have the room we booked so one of us had to sleep on the floor with a mattres. The guy there was the rudest guy in the world. When we complained he just went so violent about it. There was random people sleeping on the sofa and the hallways. It was bad situated and not clean at all.

Friendly & helpful staff. Common areas are clean, accessible, and inviting. No breakfast/coffee provided, but the kitchen is stocked with spices, utensils, and pans, and 7-11 is right around the corner so that need not be a concern. Only a few blocks from 7th street convention center Metro station, so it's easy to get to anyplace in town the Metro goes. Fast food, convenience store, grocery store, and library all in easy walking distance.

It is the most friendly and cleanest hostel that I have been to in my whole 21 days trip in the USA.although the lobby is small ,the guests in the hostel like to sit there and enjoy talking with each other , I made some friends there.

I paid $80 for the worst hostel, I´ve ever seen! The staff was rude and just sitting in front of the TV, we just got a key for the front door (every other door was unlocked, so somebody could just walked in), our "bedroom" was 3m² small. We booked a female dorm, but nevertheless there was a boy sleeping in our room, who we didn´t know. This hostel isn´t worth the money at all and I wish, I could get it back. In addition, that you sell it on your website, doesn´t make me recommend hostelworld.com

There were no locks on the doors. Also the bedding and towels were dirty. The last night of our stay there was a mouse in our room. For the price ($18 a night during the inauguration), it was not bad, but I would not stay there again.

This hostel is the worst I've ever seen. No lockers, no keys for the room, about 2 showers which actually works, 2 others in which you are in the dark. No toilet paper at all in the entire building one morning and no hostel workers until 11 AM to bring some. At least it is cheap and the people I met there were nice. Think about it before you go there.
