We are stying for a night at Capital Hostel, and we think that the Hostel is pretty good, it's clean, and well located, just a few steps away from metro station line 1. They provide breakfast too, even it's only toast with butter and jam or cereal with milk, but it's enough to fill our stomach at the morning..
very recommended hostel with a friendly staff..btw, the receptionist girl is cute :)

Breakfast really wasn't that good. Private lockers are broken and keys are shared with other guests.

This hostel is pretty bed. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, some of the staff are rude and unhelpful, and they don't even have enough lockers for everybody to secure valuables. This hostel is all about location. It is very handy in Pest to get out and see things. Other than that, I would not recommend it. Not to go over board with complaining, but the bathrooms/showers were not cleaned other than the shower water going all over and the staff was very indifferent/almost rude. Good hostel our room was amazingly large but the entrance to another room was through ours but no big deal. The breakfast was also included but lacking... i.e. it was basically crackers and butter and jam but whatever the internet was free too. The only redeeming feature of this hostel room was that I managed to get a room with a/c (oh and its location). A wonderful location, right at the end of Andrassy, one of the main streets in Budapest. About a 5 minute walk from the river. Helpful staff. On second floor of building, first two floors owned by other tenants and very shabby, but Capital Hostel is quite clean. Very modest breakfast.
