I stayed in this hostel for one night. Despite some comments about cleanliness, I could say it was quite good. You can serve clean towels, sheets as more as you want, also its nice that you have an option - female dormitory. I really appreciate this. 15 minutes walk from Hyde Park, 15 min by bus to Circular Quay....very nice. Highly recommend for this fabolous price ;) cheers, Dina

If you are looking for a decent place to stay on a budget, this is it. Looking for a good night's sleep, rest or any comfort? Seek it elsewhere! Staff are great and helpful but the place is pretty dirty and run down. It isn't too bad (no bugs etc.) but not worth more than $20/night. Noisy location@ busy intersection.

I stayed at the penthouse and thought it had good value for money. If you are planning a long stay on a not so bountiful budget, this is a lovely place to be. Also, if you are a tourist who wants to see Paddington and still be close to the Central station (like me), it is also the best choice to make.

The worst hostel ever. Small smelly dirty kitchen, small common lounge, dirty and very old rooms. Plus, you have to walk at least 35 min to go the cbd. Only good thing : the shower!

Owner Comment (Show)
The internet in the hostel was down for a couple of days but has now been fixed and is working efficiently. The internet we provide is free and available to all our guests.

BEST Hostel I stayed at in Australia so far! Great Location & very very friendly staff. I got a bed in the 'penthouse' which was AWESOME- heaps of space, big bathroom with tub (!), even bigger kitchen and a huuuge balcony with a good view (amazing for having breakfast &stuff!). Plus all was really clean! Considering the price I expected much less and was completly surprised &stunned when I got there. I will definitely come back!!

I would be nice if the wifi access reached the rooms. During my time there everyone was sitting on the staircase to get reception.

This is one of the best value for money hotels I've been in Sydney! I don't know about the other rooms, but our female penthouse on the top floor was excellent! Own toilet and shower, own balcony with a view to city center and lovely people! The toilets were cleaned daily, but it was up to the visitors to keep the place tidy. Kitchen is a bit small, but you'll manage. Nice rooftop barbeque and friendly staff!! I'll definitely go back! =)

I really enjoyed staying in the hostel. Only downside is that it's located somewhat far from the main city and harbor areas. If you're on a budget and can't afford to take one of the buses here, you'll have to cross over Surrey Hills, which can be a pain, especially with luggage. Also, my bed seemed to have traces of dust or sand on it. However, staff is really accommodating and friendly. I missed my flight on the last day, and they gave me a bed to stay without charging a key deposit.

The people who work and stay at this hostel are unbelievably great! The hostel itself is so-so, but the friends I made and the memories I have made Sydney amazing! Loved staying here!!!

The hostel was good. The staff was helpful and the pace in general was good. Maybe the bathroom could be a little beit more clean and some of my food was stolen while I was there.

Friendly staff, clean beds and sheets, and self-service washing machine and dryer came in handy. Extending the wi-fi connection to all the premises, particularly to the common area, would be a good thing to do, and in a city as hot as Sydney, air conditioning in the room would help ! Yet i was generally satisfied

A really good hostel for backpackers, as it's clean and affordable. Nice and near to Surry Hills, Paddington and CBD etc. The staff were really friendly, but not the most sociable roommates! Clean bedding, nice bathroom, and the roof terrace is lovely. There aren't any lockable lockers, so security isn't great, but good value for money.

Good location, nice staff. The hostel was ok, the rooms hadn't been cleaned for a while (dust under the beds etc) but in general this is an average level hostel in Sydney. Internet did not work during my stay.

When I arrived I was only told where my room was, I got no other information from the person who checked me in and ask to ask a girl in my room where everything was. The staff overall were not very helpful and one not very friendly but I won't name her name! Overall the hostel is okay. It provides you with everything you need. I had a great stay as i met some great people there but other then that I guess it was just a place to stay! Great value for money i thought over the new year period!!

Hostel got a great atmosphere with a pub below, Staff was very friendly, rooms okay (no lockers), but it wasn't clean at all...dirty bathrooms and toilets, kitchen small and not very clean...but you got to love the atmosphere, like a big house sharing with friends
