A fantastic hostel, I had an incredibly friendly and warm welcome and it made my week in Wicklow very special indeed. Very appreciatve of the transport to Glendalough. I would definitely recommend this hostel to all my friends and hope they keep up the good work, thank you so much.

Captain Halpin's Hostel is simply the best hostel I've stayed in in Ireland. The location is superb, facilities are above normal hostel quality for an extremely reasonable price, and the owner goes out of his way to answer all your inquiries and create a lovely atmosphere. Couple that with the beautiful landscape around Wicklow Town and I really see no reason not to recommend staying in Captain Halpin's.
Everything was quite good except the temperature. Inside the hostel I was really cold.
This hostel would have been great had it been a bit more clean. Great atmosphere and location!
Captain Halpin's hostel is a beautiful little hostel set in a historic house within the small town of Wicklow. The owner Ian is a lovely man who works tirelessly to keep his hostel in top condition and in turn keep his guests happy. Our stay was near on perfect and we would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone travelling the area.
Lovely stay... The location is beautiful, close to everything. It was a great atmosphere, and very confortable.
Friendly people, good kitchen and we had a very good sleep in 3 high double beds. Perfect stay for one ore two days.
Their was a smell of damp in my room, and the bed are really noisy. Apart from that it was great, with a good breakfast
