The location is good and the rooms themselves were OK but the staff were not very friendly and a occasional smile would also be nice. I would not recommend the hostel.

In hindsight, the captains hostel is all about the view, which is epic. The only downside were the showers and washrooms on the 4th floor. The travelling disatance between the 2 was a nuisance. Overall good

The bunk rooms are clean and quiet. However, the scuzzy bathrooms are a long way away and you have to walk through the lobby to get to them, the bar is obscenely expensive, and the staff often don't speak English. Many of the staff who do speak English seemed really put out by having to speak English. Brilliant location, though.

Good location and easy to find. It's a tipical Chinese hostel with a mix of locals and foreigners and good for a short stay. The bar on the top floor has some good views over the city.

The location of this hostel cannot be beaten. Everything works well. The rooftop bar is expensive but you don't get a view like this cheaply anywhere!   Read Owner Comments

Bathroom is far from dorm and makes it uncomfortable, internet was the most costly than the rest of the ones I stayed, they dont have bikes as Lonely Planet mention and you cant do the bike tour they offered, they didnt have any other tour,
