Convieniently located near one of the main bus stations in Amman. It is inbetween the quietier western districts and the hustle bustle os downtown Amman which makes Caravan a great place to stay. The rooms and the hotel in general has a faded decor but are clean. The staff are also helpul and friendly. Caravan also provides good services for guests that want to make trips to places around Jordan.
Bathroom was a disgrace. Shower was little more than a hose dispensing cold water. The room itself was fine - very spacious. Ideal for Abdali bus station.
I'm 35 years old and I've been on 30 country all over the world. This was the worst hotel I've ever seen. THIS HOTEL SHOULD PUT OUT OF YOUR WEB SITE AND OUT OF LONELY PLANET. DİRTY SHEETS, NO HEATING ON DECEMBER, BAD STAFF AND LOCATION
A decent budget hotel, what more is there to say? Yes, many rooms have nice balconies, and it's close to the massive King Abdullah Mosque which is a very useful landmark in the city.
The bathroom was really dirty and water was slow although we had warm water! Breakfast was awfull, same thing everyday. Wont stay there again.
Hotel is good and well located but people in the counter is not very helpful and want to sell you transportation and tours all the time.
I loved this hostel/hotel, the staff, service and cleanliness were all excellent. Its also located 200m to all the necessary transport. I would stay here again. Excellent. Jordan. July 2007 Australia
This hotel is very difficult to find if you are driving yourself, so get directions / plan your route in advance / don't drive! We ended up stopping every 5 minutes to get directions and eventually someone in the hotel had to come out and find us in our car and show us the way. The staff is very helpful and speaks good English.
Helpful and very honest staff. Very spacious rooms. Located next to Abdali bus station, where airport buses stop.
NEGATIVES: The bathroom had some slight plumbing problems; we found one cockroach in our room; and the carpeting looked stained. (Don't stay here on your honeymoon.) POSITIVES: The staff were hospitable and ready to help with everything from carrying luggage to finding sites in the city. They serve a simple, tasty breakfast at your convenience. The location can't be beat: very near Al Abdali bus station, many travel agencies, the Friday flea market (just past the bus station); also quite close to City Center (Roman Theatre), two churches (Latin), and a huge mosque (great, except for 4am call to prayer). The hotel sits near a main road, but still stays mostly quiet.
