Nice hostel with good staff. It's a bit out of the way which was a bit annoying as it rained our whole time in Cairns so we got wet everytime we walked to town. Overall though, it's a very nice hostel.

We especially liked the helpfulness of the staff. We were staying there on two nights, separated by a week, and arriving late and leaving early on the second night, both when the office was closed so we could not retrieve our luggage left in the storage room between stays. They offered to get our stuff out of the storage room and put it in our room for our second stay, and, lo, when we arrived on the second stay, there it was. Very helpful folks at the front desk.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The hostel was clean and had a swimming pool. Would book to go back again.

The hostel overall was pretty good. I chose it because it wasn't in the middle of the city, thinking that it would be calmer. But alas... The party still went on, late into the night. The staff was awesome though, very helpful with choosing and booking tours and transport, especially Neil. Would stay again, perhaps further away from the common area though. Met a few great people who were also staying at the hostel.

Average hostel with none of the added niceties that make hostel stay worthwhile. No luggage storge in dorm room, not enough power points in dorm, not a good atmosphere. Uncomfortable night sleep. Good location but that was about it.

It was great to be upgraded to a twin room which made our stay that little bit more special. I feel there could have been more bathroom facilities but apart from that the hostel was perfect.

Had a great stay here, the facilties were really good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For Australia it was very good value for money and the free dinner was helpful for the budget.

This was one of the best hostels I stayed in during my three month trip. It was cheap, but it was cleaner than most of the more expensive ones I stayed in. The kitchen was good as well, and the toilets were actually fresh. Also, it was pretty close to the city centre (5-10 min walk). I'd definitely recommend this!

Friendly staff. I stayed in a spacious 4 bed dorm room with aircon, with a big bathroom next door. Unfortunately WiFi was quite expensive, but in general a nice and recommendable hostel.

Stayed there only for one night, but it was great. I just had a surgery and they helped me really well. The staff is really nice (they brought even my stuff to my room!) and they know your name right in the start. Everything is good and clean. Every room has a own bathroom with a toilet and a shower but there are also public toilets and showers. Oh, before i forget; every room has a fridge so that's great! Unbelievable that it is only 20 dollars.

the staff were amazing and knew my name the day I checked in! Very quiet at night. open kitchen area, lounge and pool made it easy to meet people. only downfall was it was a little further away from everything, but would recommend to friends and would stay there again!

It was a little sterile, but very clean and very secure. A good place to spend a couple days on our way back from a liveaboard.

My friend and I really liked this hostell. The staff were very nice and helpfull. The location is not the best, there are some hostells that are closer to "town." We only lived here for 1 night, but we recomended it to some friends that checked in a few days later and they really liked it as well ! :)

We got a pretty messy and dirty dorm room with people who had been staying there for a while, but we asked the reception if any other rooms were available and they happily put us in a quieter and cleaner room. 18 dollars per night is def a good price!

A bit expensive for what it was, especially during low season. We got a twin room which was clean and basic, could have done with lockers in our room to put our valuables in - this is provided by majority of hostels i've stayed in before. Didn't use kitchen facilities but they looked decent enough. Felt as if we were being sold specific tours and scuba diving trips when asked at reception, like they were affiliated or something. I'd done my research before which I'd recommend.
