Caravella Backpackers Cairns City Waterfront Reviews

Caravella backpackers was a warm and helpfull hostel. The staff their was so helpfull, if you had any questions they would answer them or they would find the answer for you. They recommend what local activites to do for day trips or even half a day trips. Overall caravella backpakers has been the best hostel that i have been to and i thank them for a great experience in Cairns.

OMG, this is a great place! I stayed for four nights at their double-bed room and it seemed more like a budget hotel room than a hostel. The price was a steal and great cafe next door. I would definitely return here when I get back to Cairns.

The boss is very passional and friendly. He can accept any opinion and respect everyone's suggestion.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely helpful and generous and the rooms were decent. It was close to everything but still quiet. We highly recommend it!

Not a bad hostel, although certainly not a party hostel. Traveling on my own, I found it hard to meet anyone there. It's a 10-15minute walk from town. Rooms and bathrooms were clean though, comfy beds, good kitchen setup, and nice swimming pool.

I do really love this hostel. Super clean and friendly staff. It is quiet and safe so you can party hard till the midnight and get back to your bed on time !!! It isn't located too far from the city center (just max. 10 minutes walking !!!) The kitchen seems ok and all the facilities look new and clean (thanks to adorable backpackers there) Guests are good and friendly as well. It is very easy to make friend with them if you spend a couple of hours a day sitting at the bench or front kitchen !

Nice place for a quick stay in cairns. Not a party hostel, easy to meet people, friendly staff. A bit far away from the centre but easy by walking along the esplanade.

The staff at Caravellas was exceptional.

staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful at all times. Only downside was that it would benefit from some updating in i.e. kitchens and changing push button locks on doorknobs for keycards which would add to feeling of securtiy.

The staff was awesome and answered all our questions. Super friendly and helpful. Even booked our Jungle Surfing package for us by phone. They offer underwater camera rentals for a reasonable price! Loved the pool. I felt safe. Good location, walking distance from everything in the area- although some walks are longer than others. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Great place to stay in Cairns, easy 5-10 minute walk to city center, but not right in the middle of things so not too noisy. The staff was excellent and very helpful and knowledgable about the city and the many excursions they offer, we went on a snorkel/scuba trip recommended by the girl at the front desk, and it was amazing! Clean, relaxed, would happily stay again.

nice hostel close to the center but in a quiet zone. very helpful staff. we had a big room with living and fridge!

Used bedsheets with MULTIPLE DISTINCT URINE STAINS. When I asked for them to be changed I was told that I am at a low cost hostel. NEVER EVER AGAIN

Great central location and the air conditioning is well needed in such a hot and sticky environment. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and tidy and the pool area was a great spot to hang out. Excellent hostel for anyone travelling to Cairns.

Nice clean place, good pool - you need it in Cairns, and close enough to walk to lagoon, i had a private room, comfy bed, aircon, clean showers, seems more upmarket than the backpacker places but same price,

The best hostel I've been to.

My stay was very nice here. I was able to check in and out based on overnight tours and liveaboard dive trips that way I wasn't double-paying for accomodations. They also stored my backpack for free so all I had to take was a small bag on overnights. Unfortunately they don't have free wifi unlike a few other hostels in the area. They do have a paid subscription wifi though. This is one of the few hostels with a private pool for guests. It also has somewhat enforces quiet hours between 2300 and 7

We stayed here both before and after a trip to cape tribulation and both times they upgraded us to a private room. They also remembered our names and were very nice! The best hostel we stayed at!
