Beautiful little hostel, more like a B&B, right across the street from the main museum and the cathedral. There weren't many people there when I stayed and Carlisle is a pretty quiet town so I can't say much about atmosphere, but if you're looking for a place to stay before or after seeing Hadrian's wall this is definitely a good bet.

The hostel is a great location, almost right on top of the the cathedral. It is a bright, very clean hostel with very friendly staff.

Not very welcoming.

hostel lovely in character, conveniently located in the centre; friendly staff that was always about to help; we could store our luggage without problems after checkout. definitely recommended.
