Considering the price, it's a quite nice place to be hosted, not so good, not so bad. It is my 2nd exp in a youth hostel. As the first was catastrophic (Rome, 2008), this one sounds like paradise for me, even if all is not perfect. You may always find things to improve, but remember the price you place on it. For 17 euros per night, with a nice greet, ambiance, talks, sounds difficult to find better. Just note that it is located a bit far from the centre, but hostels on center are more expensive

No one picks up the phone so you are stranded when you arrive. There really is no free shuttle. They wouldn't take us to the train station for our morning departure as promised in the advertisement. Bed bugs, they change sheets but not blankets. Bathroom not clean, all showers clogged, some not working. Huge dogs "guard" the hostel but also hump you on your way in and are aggressive. Overall not a good experience. Would not stay again-ever!

I would like to say that in order to call an Italian number from a foreign phone, you have to dial "+39" before the number otherwise no one will answer anywhere... The free transport has starting and ending times, not upon request if you want to leave at "impossible o'clock" in the morning while breakfast is in progress... there is also a city shuttle bus every 20 minutes from just outside our gate (1 euro) and if you would have been "down to earth" enough to honour any of the staff with a question or even a phrase longer than 2 words they would have been more than happy to give you all the info you needed. As far as the bed bus go... all I have to say is that you were the only one complaining strangely enough nobody else in the room complained and even more strangely... all the bugs "went" with you. I can't help asking myself if you had the bugs with you or you are just saying stuff to slender my hostel? In the Summer, with our temperatures no one uses blankets, they are by the beds " just in case " and if no one uses them, of course they don't get changed. With people coming and going from the beach taking showers and leaving sand all over the place 5 minutes after the bathrooms were cleaned, it might not look like it to you but bathrooms get sanitized several times a day, strange how you have noticed everything after only getting in at night, going straight to sleep and leaving early in the morning... As far as the "dangerous and aggressive" dogs, poor Duc is 16 years old, half blind and deaf with no front teeth left and Tiger (2 years old), do espect some friskyness after you play with him. I agree with you, not a good experience so PLEASE don't stay here again.

Staff is nice but none of them Italian, so it's very much the Hostelatmosphere, no Italian feeling at all, a bit noisy at times too, they like to hear loud music.

If you chose to stay at a hostel, you are bound to be around young people that like to listen to music and have a laugh... Considering the nationality of our guests (including yours), the staff is English speaking and, since not many of our guests speak Italian, normally customers are happy to be able to clearly communicate (in English) with international staff.
