Awesome atmosphere, family environment, so easy to make friends and super clean for a party hostel.

Staff were great and very helpful. The beds were comfortable. Hostel of course was a bit loud at times, but it's a party hostel and you can't beat the price. The weekly events all seemed pretty cool and the Saturday night boat cruise was ~awesome~.Wish there was a more private toilet, could be problematic for people who are shy, but oh well!

Had an awesome time at Carpe Noctem OG. Staff are amazing people, super fun and interesting to talk to. Location is great, with all the sights within walking distance. The events were great - from checking out Budapest's super cool ruin bars to the breathtaking booze cruise. Plus, the free bread & eggs was a godsend for those days when you're too tired to crawl out of bed for brekky. Only regret was not staying there longer.

Super clean, excellent prices, great atmosphere, and the most wonderful staff you could ask for.

Everything was perfect...I can't wait to go back! The nightlife was INSANE, there was so many cool things to do during the day as well. Even if you book only 2 nights, you'll probably stay 5. Staff and other guests were SO nice and helpful. Staff takes everyone out each night at 8:30, which sounds early but it ends up being fun no matter what, and if you decide to stay in it means some quiet!

Really fantastic, exactly what I expected from reading other reviews online. The place has fantastic amenities, is way cleaner than it probably even needs to be but honestly its because the staff all actually care about the place and about the people staying there. Super pleased with my stay.

Amazing hostel for solos and small groups. Be ready for heavy drinking and partying. Only irritating thing is that the hostel is part of a network of party hostels, and they funnel everyone into the hostel bars late at night. The hostel bars are ridiculously expensive in comparison to general prices in Budapest, but they do have a good and fun atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again, nonetheless.

100% recommend this place if you want to meet people. The workers and everyone staying here are super chill, and everyone knows how to have a good time. Definitely coming back if I'm ever in Budapest again. Cheers for a sweet time!

The perfect party hostel. You get to party with the craziness of retox and grandio if you want to, yet you stay in a tight nit apartment in a heritage listed building. You never feel like a guest here, you feel like your a part of the family. The beds are super comfy, bathrooms are super clean. Nightly events, family dinners. Only drawback is the 8:30 curfew. Just a tad too early for a curfew but it also means you can have a quiet nights sleep and recharge for the next night.

Had an absolutely awesome time here! Very welcoming and always there to give you some helpful advice on the city. Loved the staff especially Olivia even coming on her day off to hang with us at the baths!

I had a great time at OG. The staff was by far the most helpful I've found in any hostel on my trip. Everything was clean and I really liked how few rules the hostel had in general. The only thing that was tough was when people came back super late at night and wouldnt stop talking. But overall I had a great stay and would recommend that anyone who is looking for a very social hostel should go to OG.

A hostel like no other - such friendly and helpful staff that go the extra mile to ensure you have a good time in this city they clearly love. Really achieved the share house vibe, family feel. Events every night are encouraged so if you are looking for a more private hostel this isn't ideal for you. Location very close to two metro stations and walking dist to ruin bar district. Not glamorous decor but has everything you need (kitchen, computers, wifi, lounge) and is really cosy. Thanks guys!

Carpe Noctem is an amazing hostel with awesome staff that make you feel part of the family as soon as you walk through the door. This place seems to only attract the best kind of people who are always up for a fun day in Budapest or a crazy night out. Shout out to Belch, Jewma, Giggles and Shitsu for making this one of my favorite Hostels in Europe! Cant wait to come back!

Where to begin! This place is the closest thing you can get (in terms of comfort) to your Mother's womb. It's the closest thing (in terms of fun) you can get to occupying Leo DiCaprio's yacht for a week or 3. Would I recommend it? Do you have to ask? It's like assembling a mix of culture, history, debauchery, partying, beauty, deliciousness and a pack of rowdy Australians into a warm bath and enjoying the osmoses. 10/10. The free eggs are also dank.

What a phenomenal experience staying at Carpe Noctem was! You are treated like family here and aren't just another customer like many of the other hostels. It was by far the best I have ever experienced and because of that I doubled my stay in large part to the experience the hostel gave me. Oh and the staff are insanely incredible!! A big shout out to them.

honestly, this hostel changed my life. by far the best hostel i have ever stayed at, and i've stayed at quite a few. The atmosphere truly lived up to their claims of it being "family style". we did everything together, but were never pressured into anything. Somehow this hostel draws only the coolest people to stay there, and everyone was super interesting and willing to sit and talk, or go on a walk (or a boat ride) together. The bed was comfy, i felt super safe, and will definitely come back
