the perfect place if you want to party and also if you are alone. they make it easy for you. tha only thing is the place was dirty all the time and i think they only clean ones a week.

This place is like a home away from home. There are outings every night, but not prepaid pubcrawls, so you can drink whatever you want! I also like how relatively quiet it is in the hostel. There's no bar, but you can buy beer at the store and hang out, cook, watch movies... Great staff, great times! Also, the beds are the comfiest I've ever had in a hostel. Cheers! Jan xo

Carpe Noctem is undoubtedly the most amazing hostel with the most helpful, badass staff I've met yet. You will not regret your stay here, although you may not remember it.

I loved my stay at Carpe Noctem! I was traveling alone and met so many wonderful people. I definitely recommend this hostel to anyone traveling in a small group or by him or herself-- great way to meet new friends! And the hostel always has great suggestions and activities planned if you're at a loss for things to do (which you shouldn't be, because Budapest is incredible).

Keep it up, you guys kickass.

This hostel is hands down the most brilliant place in the entire world. We came for two days and never left! The staff are gorgeous, loveable and seriously helpful in every way. Carpe manages to capture the comfort of a mates lounge room and every moment spent there is relaxing and blissful (aside from the morning after the champagne boat cruise!). Enjoy the stairs though ;)

Carpe Noctem is the best hostel I have stayed at anywhere in Europe. Whilst the premises itself is clean, accommodating & comfortable, what sets it apart are the incredibly fun & friendly staff. There's never a dull moment at Carpe Noctem with a party or activity every day & night of the week; you are incredibly well looked after & assured the time of your life. Cheers to Scrumpy, Sly, C2, Claws & the crew for an incredible adventure in Budapest. You could never speak highly enough of CN. A+++

Carpe Noctem was the best hostel experience I have had traveling around Europe. I could not have been happier with the hostel and it really made the trip. The hostel had been recommended by two friends and I am so happy I stayed there!

AMAZING HOSTEL!! Without a doubt the very best i've ever stayed in, nothing will compare now! Awesome staff, daily activities, awesome lounge area and bar crawls, boat cruises etc. on every night! I'm already planning my next trip back :-) STAY HERE!!!

I am not usually someone who would rate a place as perfect, but C N is as close to this as any hostel can be. The size of the hostel ensures that staff can make you feel like a friend as opposed to one of the numbers. Any place where the receptionist will sit down with you for 10-15mins and guide you around the city makes you feel very at home. With activities every night out of the hostel it provides the party but an ability to escape for a good night sleep when needed. I'll be back for sure

such a warm and inviting hostel, i feel like its my second home. ended up staying 1 more week than i was supposed to! i still miss it...

What a hostel! What a city! The good hearted people in Carpe Noctem will give you a one last day of smoking permit when you ask for a balcony to smoke. They will give you their swim shorts when you ask where you can buy one. They'll go out with you having the cheapest beer of your life and discuss politics. They'll tell you their stories, and listen to yours. Located in a beautiful historical building at the very center of Budapest, you'll feel you could not have been hosted better. Go there!

great occasion to meet people from other countries and have a lot of fun

I could not be more pleased with my stay. The staff took us out and made sure we had the best time while feeling safe and comfortable in this new city. We had the BEST time there and would definitely stay again / we kinda want to go back and live there forever!
