Excellent hostel and very easy to meet new people. As soon as i walked in the door i'd made some new friends to party with that night. The staff are very helpful and lots of fun!

Carpe was by far the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff are awesome and always had great ideas of stuff to do and see in Budapest. Every night we got taken out to the coolest bars and without fail had an awesome night. I really can't speak more highly of this hostel. You will not regret staying here.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! Awesome staff that take you out every night and it's a small hostel so you make friends with all the guests. Would definitely recommend Carpe.

Words can't describe how incredible this hostel is. The staff are outstanding, helping with all your needs and making sure you never have a quiet day or night in Budapest (unless you want to). Carpe feels like home as soon as you arrive and the atmosphere is such that you are happy to spend the day relaxing in the hostel with the staff. At night time you wil never go thirsty and the staff will show you the best of Budapest's exceptional nightlife. YOU WILL NEVER WANT TO LEAVE! AMAZING!!

I really recommend to all solo travelers stay at Carpe Noctem Hostel in Budapest. The staff hang out with the guests every single night at 8:30 and take the people to many nice places in town.

I honestly cannot believe that nobody else on this site has given this hostel a low score. I did not apprecieate being kept up all night by staff vomiting nor did i appreciate when another member of staff was dragged out of out 12 bed dorm. To make matters worse, i was woken up every mornin as 8 by the sound of laughter and loud music which came from the staff. The smoking room in the hostel entrance and the cold showers did not make me like this hostel any more.

What could I say? The "Excellent" word is far less than what it is over there. Screw hostelworld it doesn't allow me to rate %200.

Well where to start about carpe, my stay was extended twice and I still didn't want to leave. I have made my second home and can't wait until I can come back. This is the only place to stay in Budapest, you will have the time of your life with the people here in one of the best citys in the world.

not fainthearted (or for those who don't like smoky atmospheres). good fun and certainly a party hostel, great for meeting people to party with. 2 showers serving 24+ beds = not great

Carpe Noctem! Where does one begin? Clean, safe and in prime location to that of the train station, sites and of course bars! Small and cosy, you are without a doubt going to know everyone there and soon find it becomes a little family of degenerate drunks - perfect! The staff are incredible and always looking to make your stay that much more perfect, - Will, Montana, Scotty, Sly, JB (the erratic man-child) and of course the beauty that is Sarah! I LOVE YOU SARAH!

Amazing, as always. A huge thank you to the staff (both present and former) who made our third time around an absolute charm. So much love for you all, see you again soon!!!

It was so nice especially since it was my first time traveling solo to have such fun and welcoming staff and be able to meet awesome new people and go crazy every night!! I'm kicking myself for leaving so soon! They really promoted group activities which were always fun and really cool; it was also amazing to see so many people keep coming back to the same hostel. I know I'm definitely going to try and make it back there soon.

HANDS DOWN THE MOST KICKASS HOSTEL IN THE WORLD!! We originally arrived at Christmas and every single staff member/guest became like an instant family to us for the holidays (came back two weeks later!). Awesome off-the-beaten-track tips to explore the city, and always willing to go the extra mile to help us find something exciting to do, ensure we get proper wrecked, and feed our lush hangovers. Facilities were stellar, beds were cozy, smiles were cheeky ;) Absolutely THE PLACE TO BE IN PEST!!!

This hostel was really good and very sociable. All the facilities were clean and exactly what we needed. Only bad point was that most mornings or afternoons we could not tell who were the staff on duty and who were the people staying in the hostel.

Best hostel ever! staff were amazing sat down with us for half an hour and told us where to go and where not to go, they take you out every night and recommend daily activities. Small hostel where everyone gets to know eachother and nobody wants to leave, Definitely coming back!

One of the better party hostels in Europe. Everynight they organise something and drag everyone out (they have 3 other sister hostels so there is no shortage of people). Great place to stay only negative for me is they allow smoking in 1 section of the hostel it is near a window, however evidently it goes through the dorm rooms. Not the best smell to wake up to hung over. Apart from that great however after staying here and at Carpe Noctem Vitae in the past I think Vitae might take the cake.

Guaranteed best time of your life! Everyone there makes you feel like you're at home and part of their family. The in-house cook ups are also delicious and cheap! Stay at Carpe!
